Best Managers in the Premier League

posted on 2/6/16

Pep and Jose have had easy careers. walking into teams full of galacticos with an open budget.

Yes Jose won the champions league with Porto but Rafa did with us. Doesn't make him one of the best.

I am never going to call Pep or Jose the best going until I see them do it without a huge budget.

I would much rather have Klopp or Simoeone than those 2. Both these managers have done it on limited budgets with average squads compared to the ones Jose and Pep have inherited.

Saying all that Jose has a tough job with the dross he has but he has an open cheque book. Pep is in the same boat but he has a slightly better squad.

he left the champions for a team that can't get into the top 4, I'm using your own silly logic on you here Giggs

leaving Southampton for Everton is a significant step up anyway you want to look at it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would say it's more of a sidewards step, Southampton currently have the better team. Depends how much money your new chairman throws about really.

Pep has only ever managed ready made teams and please don't try convincing me he's the champion of youth!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He brought in quite a few from the academy whilst at Barca, players such as Busquets, Thiago, Xavi Torres, Dos Santos, Oriol Romeu, Mino Nolittos, Cuenca, Delofeu, Tellio, Rafinha and Riverola all made their debuts for Barca first team, during his 4 years spell.

Although, only Busquets is still at Barca

so we've upgraded from a step down to sideways step = progress

they don't have a better team at all they had arguably a better manager which is why we are trying to get him and as a result of us having an awful season and them doing well again they finished higher in the league, have Leicester got a better team than anyone else in the division??

Thought I would be kind and bring History into it which upgraded you to equal. I Think you are doing them a disservice, they have great players like Wanyama, mane, Dijk, Forster, tadic that would get in most sides in the league.

I feel Everton fans are a little like the Newcastle bunch and overate their players a tad, just don't see why Koeman would leave a good Soton team for Everton, who could also lose their two best players this summer. Like I say depends how much your chairman spends this summer, you could do a Chelsea.

And that's less than Jose has brought through at any of the clubs he's been at probably.

Not only do they overrate their players, they are in total denial about their new owners. I'd reserve my judgement until after a couple of transfer windows.

Moshiri & Co have a history of making pandering statements while doing SFA.

silly talk saying Koeman wouldn't leave Southampton for us, we will see in the next week or so, that's if he is even the main target

1) Pep
2) Jose
3) Ranieri (he just took a team from 14th to 1st that is outstanding)
4) Klopp
5) Koeman
6) Poch
7) Conte (He may have won the titles with Juventus but that's not super hard and did poorly in the CL.)
8) Bilic
9) Hughes
10) Howe
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Im sorry but you are well off regarding Conte, he took over a broken side in midtable for a few years and won three titles in a row, that would be the equivalent of some one doing likewise with Liverpool now. Also he had an unbeaten record and record points, a lot of Arsenal, Chelsea fans argue over what's better, and Conte with Juve had both

If you have other reasons to give Conte a low rating then fair enough, but he worked miracles to do what he did at Juve.

posted on 2/6/16

I'm not a fan of Pep as a person or any club he's been at so I have no real reason to say this, but anyone who thinks he is over rated, got lucky and is going to get found out at City are in for a very rude awakening.

I wouldn't put it past Ancelotti to blow the title to Dortmund next season, which will truly put in perspective what a good job he did sustaining consistent success, which is the hardest thing to do in footy.

? who knows, he has stormed to the top of the betting market in the last 24 hours but then De Boer has been favourite in the past, Pellegrini was for a short while and Emery too, I will take any of them over Moyes

Having read some of the comments, can I just say that Mourinho shiiits on Guardiola managerial ability wise. It's not even close.

Wahl

Why not be specific & tell us why Mourinho's better?

posted on 2/6/16

Conte won 3 titles in a row in a league thats fixed

posted on 2/6/16

Who is Wahl?

Mourinho is better because he has equal if not better achievements than Guardiola with worse teams.

Proving that not only is Guardiola better at promoting youth players but better in the transfer market. Guardiola's better tactically as well.
