He's gonna be 30 this year, you sold RVP to us when he was 28.
------//
Vardy will be 30 next January and we actually sold you rvp when he was in his 30th year
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Just checked, Van Persie had just turned 29 for us when you sold him.
Fair enough Bats, I'll watch him in the Euro's and see if he's any good then.
Arsenal could do with some premier league winning experience.
Vardy would be an excellent signing.
If we really want a Vardy type player would rather we took a gamble on Andre Grey
Arab, watched Xhaka played a few times. He's not a DM and he's no better than Cazorla or Coq. Looks like he's been brought in so Wenger can find a suitable partner for garbage Ramsey
===
Come on bats, he's clearly a different player to both. A mixture of the two if you like. He's a massive upgrade on Arteta (at his best for us)
Time will tell if Wenger knows what he's doing though.

Cech, Welbz & Wenger have all won PL titles.
Ozil, Sanchez, Mertesacker & Cazorla have all won big titles with other teams.
Sky sources: Arsenal are interested in signing Jamie Vardy and would like talks with Leicester. #SSNHQ
Telegraph and other outlets are picking up the same story now as well.
Vardy must think he's in dreamland, from non league to Arsenal in no time
Need more than Cech and Welbeck with title winning experience.
Wenger's title winning experience doesn't count for much. Managed to lose the title to a manager that has never won the league anywhere.
Even if Arsenal triggered the clause surely Vardy can still reject the move?
I wouldn't have thought any team in modern football would make £20-30m bids without knowing the player was willing to join them.
When teams want players now, first thing they do is gauge the player's interest via his agent.
Think he'll be a big hit if he goes to Arsenal.
Could easily see him bag 15 goals for Gunners if this move goes ahead.
Doesn't seem like a typical Arsenal signing but it could
be a very effective one. Will Vardy want to leave?
It's pretty sh*t from Arsenal to do it now. 3 weeks almost since the end of last season they've had, yet they wait until England are ready to up sticks to France.
They did something similar a couple of years ago when they put a bid in for Cabaye, the same day Newcastle were playing their opening game of the season. Cabaye was then pulled out of the Newcastle squad.
They should have sorted it out before now, or waited until after England are done in a couple of weeks.
Wow this is actually happening. Wenger has completely lost whatever of the plot he had left
Does anyone think this might affect Vardy's form for the Euro's?

So Wenger didn't want to pay £30m for 25 year old Higuain a few years back but wants to pay £25m for 29 year old Vardy now
Godstein is reporting it now Gooners..
David Ornstein: Arsenal have triggered Jamie Vardy release clause & in talks with Leicester to sign the striker. Story broken by @StuartJamesGNM #AFC #LCFC

Wtf is actually happening? Cannot believe it. As I said about the vastly more talented player in question the last time we broke a release clause, the guy is a and I don't want him near our club.
