Arsenal should have bought Higuain two years ago, he is world class, Vardy isn't.

20 mil isn't that much these days, but this news feels like we're saving the pennies again, if a better striker is out there for 20-30 mil more, we should really be aiming for that. He may be good for us if he comes but I'm not confident of it.

One good season his entire career coming to a team that don't play anything like the kind of game his traits demand, for a manager who prefers his players to work it out for themselves when Vardy has only ever performed when under clear instruction. Not to mention he's 29. It stinks of Wenger valuing the market and perceived best value over our actual needs. Really short sighted signing.
Get Simone, however, and it starts to make sense.
Are people really turning their nose up at 25m for Vardy? That's nothing, even if he flops.

Vardy will bring the fear factor back to our attack, please make this happen. His pressing of opponents defence is worth much more than his age
Not sure he would want to leave Leicester with them in the CL but would love it if this happened. It's a short tern signing but that's what we need, nice to see Wenger going after what we need instead of projects or one for the future

Think you're a bit too harsh. People moaning we should sign a striker for so long. I am not sure if he fits in and if he is having another good season. There is no guarantee at all for anyone no matter who you're signing.
You cant fault Wenger's intention and that he learned something from last year.
Think we will get another player in.

Trying to picture Vardy in an arsenal shirt it just doesn't look right.
His runs in behind are what Wengers really after though.
Most of his goals are counter attacks running into space.
Arsenal don't often have space to run into, especially at home.
I don't think he's cute enough in his movement to lead Arsenal's attack, and he's not a wide player.
Decent sub option maybe.

He hasn't gone anywhere yet. If I were him I'd stay at Leicester, not because it's Arsenal, but because I don't think he'd do anywhere near as well as if he stayed put.

Release clause hasn't been triggered according to latest reports. Vardy apparently happy to stay at Leicester (he confirmed last month) but releasing a clause in the contract would pave the way for him to be offered an even better deal than the one he signed in Feb.
