They say faith can move mountains, so Everest, get those bags packed
I like Megson too and hope he can get us up. I have disagreed with most of the decisions he's made since becoming manager though..
I think megson is the right man for the job, despite this whenever there is a big game coming up such as monday against Charlton I just cannot see us winning what so ever. Can anyone see us getting 3 points monday (not that a draw is a bad result like)
'I think megson is the right man for the job, despite this whenever there is a big game coming up such as monday against Charlton I just cannot see us winning what so ever.'
Don't you think that's a bit contradictory?
I can see us winning but I know what you mean; I really wonder if we've got enough to go up.
up to now ! all off his signings apart from joc <headinhands> ! have been top class !
but unfortunatly the results have not !
the jury is still out
izzy shut up
but if he pulls the double off then night him
and did i forget to mention ! IZZY SHUT UP
JOC was a re-signing imre ....but still a bad signing in my book!!
meggo is the man for the job no doubt in my mind.
milan isnt throwing loads of dosh in the hope of promotion, so we are trying to sort out over 11 years of mismanagement whilst trying to overhaul a poor squad and get promotion.
this is a work in progress and if in may we havent succeeded then obviously we will have a look at the situation, if we have finished strongly but just missed out then we go again next season, if weve been poor most of the season a change will be made.
but he gets my backing all day long and i believe we will be successful but it may not be as quick as we would like

I'm very unsure about Megson. For me his main flaw is his lack of flexibility. We have won 1 in 17 (something like that) away from home, yet we have not tried a different approach.
Come on Megson, prove me wrong please
Charlton 0 Wednesday 2
we will win monday 2-3, its gonna be nerve wracking tho
A draw wouldn't be a disaster against Charlton. They are playing fairly well, we are perhaps a few weeks behind them in terms of clicking into gear. A win would be a real bonus and much needed boost, especially for our dire away form. I must admit I would like to see GM put out a very attacking side for Monday night, we must take the game to Charlton and grab them by the balls from the whistle. having said that we have every chance if we set up to counter but we'll need two wide men from the off.
I'd like to see 4-3-3 , I can't see Meggo going for it though so 4-5-1.
1-1 is more likely kimmy .but we can still dream though tonight lowe scores a goal on his debut and semedo seals the win against is old club 0-2 ready now then to spank mkdons for a top 3 spot ! its looking good ?
I've never warmed to Megson as a manager, and not sure I ever will. Saying that, I support him 100% at the minute, although we need to pick up pace sharpish.
Anyone know when O'Grady's back, I mean arrives?
its all hush hush isnt it shezza ! he dropped a big one there mr megson .
i have heard 3 months others say another 3 weeks ?
and yes they better start picking the pace up ! but like i said ill take a draw ,because i realy think against the mkdons we will spank them ! i mean beevers and potter great plan that was off megson
From a passion standpoint Megson being an Owl will always instill that in his players but as Brigg says, he is too one dimensional so far. He needs to take the shackles off this team and let them play.
His formation tomorrow will be interesting, will he play Morrison or Lines in either a 442 or a 4411. I really don't want to see him going too defensive, we need to push forward.
An alluring 3-5-2 for the win!
Only time will tell if he is going to be our most succesful manager of recent years, he hasn't had much competition to be fair but he has had what the vast majority didn't get and that was a supportive (ish) manager.
Trueblue your reasons for giving him a chance are questionable?
I don't recall him ever being a real crowd favourite, he was a boo boy at times due to his lack of ability but I believe he won a player of the season due to his desire.
He is the son of a former player, and???
He did an ok job at WBA but had disastorous spells at many other clubs.
All I am saying is lets judge him on the results and not cus he has ties to the Owls!
I judge him by the colour of his hair.
effin ginner!
Im not sure of the rules stateside but for Rotherham council that alone is a sackable offence
The allure of 3-5-2! To dream the impossible dream and all that!
A draw would be a good result, especially given our previous 2 results away from home. Hopefully Lowe can add a bit of much-needed quality.
Yeah, O'Grady's certainly looking like a less than impressive buy. My best mates a dale fan and rated him, but he's apparently just a good but un-prolific target man. I thought we had that with Madine? Guess i should reserve judgement, but if he is out for months you've really got to question that decision. The money should have gone on securing ALF ages ago before the championship came sniffing.
To be fair though, on the whole mego's transfer dealings have seemed solid if unspectacular.

Shezz, I think you have just summed up Megson perfectly with that last line!!
As for O'Grady, I am hoping with Lowe and Madine we have our front two and O'Grady and Morrison are the backup in case of injury or in Madines case, suspensions.

Will the real Gary Megson please stand up!
