If we want a poacher, buy Icardi.
If we want a future world class striker, buy Morata.
If we want a PL proven reliable scorer, buy Lukaku.
If we want a stop gap player who'll do it for us, bring Ibrahimovic.
If we want a big money signing in their prime, buy Higuain.
There are so many strikers available this summer. To buy Vardy in this market is unfathomable.

I didn't see that
Reading through some comments and articles, I genuinely cannot believe some Arsenal fans think Vardy would be a good signing. Like Leicester, Vardy had a freak season that will probably never be replicated again. Never scored more than 24 goals at the top level in his career outside of non-league football. He scored like 5 goals the previous season for crying out loud
If we were getting Vardy in addition to another striker, that would be welcomed. But I know we're not going to. So if we are only planning on getting one striker, I'd like to have higher hopes than Jamie facking Vardy.
Talk about Freudian slip from viva

----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's not Vardy wanting to join United though is it?
And I thought only champions league clubs could activate the clause? That rules United out, which suggests the media are peddling a lot of shiiiiit.
All we know is that arsenal are interested.
The champions league club clause is not thought to be true.
You're absolutely right that the likes of the express, the mirror and most of the other tabloids are talking garbage - but sky are a pretty reliable bunch along with the guardian and the independent imo.
Vardy wants a move to one of the 'big' clubs - man Utd, man city, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea. We don't know who is preference was/is.
We do know according to Sky that United passed him up when his representatives got in touch
It does feel a little bit like Arsenal are the only club prepared to meet ridiculous wage demands for a striker who is approaching 30 and really only has a couple of ways of playing.
BS your talking BS Ridiculous wage request and only two ways of playing.
The guy is amazing striker fast as rocket has a great first touch and score goals that is worth £140K a week to any team.
Is a big club signs him it will stop him scoring goals for others and give them an alternative goal scorer.
The guy has nothing to prove here and yes i would love him to stay but if he wants to go to a big club to achieve his ambition i say go on my son.
Any LCFC fan that criticizes him is doing himself and Vardy a disservice. We owe him a dept of gratitude he owes us nothing imo
Vardy should do the honourable thing and reject any offer we make to him. Leicester made him what he is and they are champions ffs.
This would be the weirdest signing I can think of in a long time.

Leicester fans will crawl back into their caves next season when they finish mid table.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's these kind of comments we are responding to as Leicester fans..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bullshiiit, it's tit-for-tat playground rubbish
If you want to claim the moral high ground then you have to actually rise above it
If Vardy wants to spend a lot of time on the bench with a club that achieves little then Arsenal is the place for him.
------------------------------------------------------
Hahaha! Behave yourself. Don't get cocky after what many people think will prove to be a freak season, myself included. Congratulations on your first ever First Division title though.
I really, really, really , really, really, don't want Vardy though. I don't think I can emphasise the 'really' enough.
The real issue here is if Vardy goes to the gooners then he's going to become a soft loser and spend all game complaining and generally being a loser.
Stay a winner Vardy avoid these g.o.o.n.i.e.s
I think you need to calm down Nev. He's an excellent striker - for Leicester and that's the point. Unlike you I don't think he's Suarez - I think his playing style has limitations which could be found out at Arsenal
That's not a criticism but a realistic assessment of the lad who won't fare better anywhere else
You could argue he owes us a great deal after we supported him through his spell of turning up to training drunk and on the verge on throwing his potential away during his first season
He doesn't have to stay here but equally he doesn't have to lead us on with a merry dance of how he wants to repay the club for the faith shown in him
I am used to people writing Vardy off when he first came, when we got promoted when he started playing for England i am not going to calm down,While you are belittling him remember he hold the goal scoring record i don't remember Suarez holding that record.
He owes us nothing oh by the way Vardy could you help us stay up-done could you break a goalscoring record-done get selected for England for a major cup for the first time since Peter Shilton- done oh and by the way could you score 24 goals in a season (that happens every year here) -done,help get us in the champions league and seeded-done and finnaly help us win the Premier league a minor detail- done
Know BS you tell me what does he owe us nothing. Gary L got selected for England and left straight away for Everton when he could of given us another season. Do we castigate him and say he owed us something?

Latest reports are that he will have his medical tomorrow. Apparently Jack Wheelchair has been in his ear about moving during their time together in the England squad. Maybe we should be grateful Drinky is out of there so he doesn't get tapped up too.
Vardy's wife has been getting abuse from Leicester fans on Twitter. That's hardly going to help persuade him to stay here...
IMO, Vardy does owe us another season. I agree with Blackstarr - if you come out and say you'll stay and have no reason to leave, you should follow that through. We've been incredibly good to him over the last 3 years and he shouldn't forget the times when we could have got rid but stuck by him, not least after his racist tirade last summer.
How many people will have put 'Vardy 9' on their new Leicester shirt, safe in the knowledge that he was staying. How many young fans will have Vardy posters in their bedroom who'll now be left disappointed?
If he wants to leave, fine let him go, but this will leave a bad taste in the mouth and could jeopardise his status here.
