Leicester fans will still buy Vardy 9 tops even after he leaves. He's a legend at your club.

IMO, Vardy does owe us another season. I agree with Blackstarr - if you come out and say you'll stay and have no reason to leave, you should follow that through. We've been incredibly good to him over the last 3 years and he shouldn't forget the times when we could have got rid but stuck by him, not least after his racist tirade last summer.
How many people will have put 'Vardy 9' on their new Leicester shirt, safe in the knowledge that he was staying. How many young fans will have Vardy posters in their bedroom who'll now be left disappointed?
If he wants to leave, fine let him go, but this will leave a bad taste in the mouth and could jeopardise his status here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agree 100%. He'll be welcomed back warmly when he retires but there will be little love next season after what he has previously said.

Don't be silly.
I don't agree he owes the club, yes there have been occasions when the club has stood by him and helped him fulfil his potential, but to balance that he scored 24 goals and was a key reason we landed our first ever top league title.
He's about to turn 30, only has a few years at the top at best, and if he wants to try and see if he can prosper at a bigger club then fair play to him, he probably needs to move now in that case.
I'd naturally be disappointed, but he'd go with my best wishes - except for any future games against us of course.

Nah, they won't. Fans remember how players leave. If anything I think Vardy risks becoming a bit of a hate figure for the way things have panned out.
Had he not signed a new contract and not publicly committed his future, I think most if not all fans would happily have wished him well. But the circumstances behind this won't sit well.

And nobody would have had an issue with him doing exactly that had he not come out publicly to announce he was staying and 'had no reason to leave'. That's the issue here.

You may view that as almost amounting to treachery, and are clearly annoyed by it.
I see it as an ill-judged mistaken comment, and am content with where he is. If he wants to try and get success at Arsenal on his CV - even after making that statement - I don't have an issue with the situation. I don't want him to leave, but it'd just be thanks for what you've done and best wishes for the future from me.
As an aside, our 'fans' having a go at his Mrs on Twitter isn't going to help persuade him his future lies at the KP!
An ill judged mistaken comment?! He signed a new contract 15 weeks ago for facks sake
"I'm not belittling him you utter moron".....Nice i see you are in Mr disrespectful and Angry mode.
All of you who say he owes us another season are talking pap imo. You would do the same if you where him. He will get us a £20m if he does go a massive return on the clubs investment. Also he's 29 he's got a clause in his contract if we wanted to keep him at all costs why did not we make £30m ?
But for the avoidance of doubt i'm very disappointed i would love to see him playing for us next season but i wanted to Gary L play another season for us Cambiasso the list goes on.
So much for club loyalty. Not too long ago he wasn't playing in top football league football.
Anyway, Vardy's strength is his ability to get behind defenders and run onto passes through the middle.
Arsenal's current style if to pass the ball back and forth as they slowly wander up the field.
Not exactly a perfect match.
