Di Canio would have been interesting. He would only have been a short term signing but would have liked to have seen how he got on at United.
Dani Alves before he was at Barca. Club haggled at £7m. Rafa was furious as he went to Barca 2 seasons later. Rick Parry haggling over £500k the moron.
interesting that had gazza gone to united it wlda been different for him....maybe.
but did you see that euro 96 docu that shearer done...and gazza confessing that even as a teen at Newcastle he was wracked with self doubt......to the point that he would convince himself his career was over when the season stopped.
Gazza's life would not have panned out any differently.
Simpel as, alcoholism is a disease, and he loved to drink it was always gonna end up one way. Unless you sent him to a country where there was 0 alcohol.
Silva before he went to City
Suarez before he went to Liverpool.
We were in fr both and did the usually United dilly dallying and refusing to pay and extra 3-5milkion in agent fees.
When Cesc and Nasri left we tried to get Cazorla and Mata. Cazorla came a bit later but I wonder how we'd have done with thwm.
Yaya Toure. We had him on trial when he was younger but work permit issues stopped ua getting him. Would have been the perfect Vieira replacement.
Some people beat alcoholism. They have a better chance when they are in a supportive environment and their feet on the ground. But it's all speculation.

thing is with gazza he seems a bloke who genuinley enjoys drinking.
I don't think Gaza would change at all. Some people cannot be saved.
Didn't want to sign Martial for 20m and then went to United for 65m a couple months later.
Kind of player we need atm.

65million!!! Not quite that high
Not sure if the club wanted him but I sure as hell thought we were the perfect fit for Le Tissier in the 90's.
Ronaldo is the obvious one. But Houllier thought El Hadji Diouf was more value for money.
Silva and Villa were both forever linked while Rafa was at the club. Can't help but think that those two would've won us the title in 09. We wouldn't have relied so heavily on Torres, and when he was out, N'gog
Every Arsenal fan knows we missed a trick with Solomon Kalou we're forever linked with him & cannot seem to tie him down. sigh

Drogba, Cech, Zlatan, Cristiano Ronaldo, Yaya Toure, Di Maria, Gareth Bale, Messi, Maradona, Pele, Vardy, Thuram,
