It would explain why he went missing after the cup final as alot was said between the players and the manager on who was responsible for the defeat and it seems it has still not been resolved.

“There are urine tests every morning so you can check everything, but you have to trust people. If you don’t, the whole squad falls apart.

“We try and treat them like adults.

Hold on, what?

I've never heard of a manager urine testing his players every morning during pre season, is that normal.

And how does that fit in with trust and treating them like adults?

He is trying to stamp down his authority after the players went into holiday mode last season. There were quite a few choice words exchanged between the players and the manager after the cup final.

the tests have been done every morning since he took the job, its to make sure the players re hydrated to a certain level

“That includes timekeeping right through the urine tests every morning.

“If a player doesn’t hit the right levels, he has one hour to rehydrate or he doesn’t train.

“If he doesn’t train, he’s fined. And if he doesn’t train, there’s a good chance he won’t play on the Saturday.

“It’s true that their urine is tested every day. Hydration is a massive part of what we do here.

“The first thing you should do as a pro footballer when you get out of bed is drink a bottle of water.

“The second thing is, during the run in the car, have another bottle on the way to training.

Every player has a drink they are only human. To say you trust the players then test them every morning shows he doesn't. You cant treat adults like that. Football is not a dictatorship.

Should sack him and set his family home on fire while his kids sleep.

Or he could drop his dictatorship and let the players have a life.

Forcing your players to drink two bottles of water every morning.

There's sports science and then there's losing the plot.

this was not imposed by Warburton, the players came up with the code of conduct when they came in last year.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you honestly think the players want to be treated like children?

This thread sums up exactly what is wrong with Scottish football , a manager introduces sports science and a fitness regime into his squad and is castigated for it instead of being praised for it , well done mr Warburton
