As effective a protest as vegetarians buying all of McDonalds burgers and throwing them in the bin

Maybe if people walked out during the protest last season they might have listened.

They saw the tiny amount of people leaving and they probably just laughed and saids its only a few people complaining.

People called the protest a failure but was it really? 18 months ago if you said the word protest at the emirates you would have laughed out loud, slowly its going to happen more and more. Remember protests always start off small and if this shambles continues boy the emirates will not be a nice place come Liverpool at the start of the season.

No wonder our protests were so bad last season

Makes it that much easier to get a scalped ticket for Palace or West Brom when I fly home for Christmas.

Quick question, if you don't intend to go, why did you pay for your ticket?

He is protesting against the club only caring about money and neglecting the team.
By giving them money and neglecting the team

So you paid how much for a ticket to not go?

Or maybe instead of whining actually get behind the team? I mean you spent a lot of money on a season ticket after all!

You almost sound gleeful about the prospect. What a sad little man

When you renewed your season ticket you knew the score, so why do it? Unless it's just talk.

There's a very predictable pattern with many Arsenal fans on this site.
Moan about signings or lack of all summer, Arsenal then have a good start to the season and indeed upto Christmas. Talk is of winning the league and everything is rosy with world class players all across the team.

Things start to unravel and it's back to gloom, cycle repeats season upon season.

People saying why not give up the ticket don't know how long some fans have waited to get a good season ticket.

The club is a disgrace right now but it might recover if some of the leeches are eventually purged and having a season ticket will be worth it again.

Or , possibly, when things are going well the positive fans are more vocal, and when things are going badly the negative fans are more vocal.

And think of all the people on the waiting list while those with a season ticket refuse to support the team due to their own personal agendas

Fair play OP if you go ahead with it, don't listen to people calling you anything what you're doing is the only real way to show protest.

Anyone callign him an idiot why not actually make a vaild point as to why you think this?

Think about it, if the OP simply decided to not buy the season ticket then someone else will, epty seats are by far the best way to protest, that or a mass walk out.

Kolo I'm surprised at you to be honest, how did the Liverpool fans show their protest to Roy? by 1000s of season ticket holders not turning up that's how, Roy was gone quickly after that game when the attendednce was around 30k or so.

Empty seats or a mass walk out do far more than any protest outside the ground.

The game I refer to above was v Bolton at home on New years day 2011, fans were so against Roy that over 10,000 didn't turn up on the day, season ticket holders, the Kop had so many empty seats, it caused the owners to act. It was thankfully Roy's last game as manager at Anfield.

So there a perfect example of how the OPs suggestion can work, it takes numbers and balls though. Too many fans (myself included) would just go to the game anyway.
