how does plex work then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You install it into a Smart TV, phone, satellite receiver or IPTV box. You then go onto a forum and choose a server. Mine is £3 per month. The server then adds you and you accept which gives you access to the servers shows, films and music collection, which will be way more than anything else can offer. Also you'll get films before they reach the cinema, albeit some in poor quality until a better one is uploaded.
Everything in HD.
Also if there's something you want and it happens to not be in there, you can request it and the server host will upload it for you.

Also if you have anything saved on your computer you can access it from your TV or even phone when you're away from home.
I have read that Sky have bought the rights to 3pm kick off in the ROI, that were previously on setanta ireland, and will be screening them exclusively to sky sports in the republic.

Not if you just want to watch something with no extras. If you want comfort and a better experience as if you were simply using Sky, then you're better off paying a little extra.

Recently got a firestick with Kodi and some other software on it loaded by a mate.
But with Sportsdevila nd UKturks etc for sport how do you actually see what is on, a schedule, they just give the name of channels like ESPN or BEIN 1,2,3 etc etc ?
Get BT (includes European games) and include their sky sports package.. You only get SS1 and SS2 but all the football Sky show is on those channels.

There's an addon but to be honest I haven't used Kodi in ages so I'm not up with it anymore. That's the thing that gets me, I like to sit with the remote and flick through the EPG and see what's on every channel whilst clicking on a few. It's just not the same experience.

Agree spend so long faffing around the different add ons etc and trying to find reliable links too
I think it was called iVue. Last time I tried it, it wasn't working which happens to a lot of the things on Kodi.
It's crazy as mostly the reasons people take their addons offline is due to others stealing their code. Bit hypocritical considering their code is designed to steal tv and broadcast it for others.

If you have android download "wookie said fixtures". They give you what channel games are on, and also a list of where to find the channels.
If you have the wookie build the game list scrolls along the bottom of your screen as well.
Add ons like NJM and Halow tend to list the games individually anyway.

They're nuts. Sky charge extortionate prices because they can. It's time to break the monopoly and force them to compete for custom. Can they beat £10 per year? If not then here's on customer they won't get. Time others did the same.
I've got sky as I ring up to cancel and they offer half price for the year every time so I don't pay that much. My brothers got BT so whenever something is on that, I just sign on as him and stream it.
Everything else, Kodi on a firestick.
