Is Sardinia considered Italy at all? Friends who've been generally described Sardinians as one of the oddest peoples they've ever met (and you should see my friends)!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
lol
Sardinians r northerners imo
Italy has only been a thing for approx 150 years so each region is pretty distinct still
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They eat cheese with live maggots in it.
I'm not even a fussy eater, but I'm not sure I could do that.
Maggots are very nutritious

sardinian is probably the most conservative latinate language and has changed the least from the vulgar latin it and the other romance languages are descended from, and is said to still be the closest to latin

many family names in Sardegna end in 'u'
if you see an Italian name that ends in a 'u' then you can confidently say "oh, he/she must b Sardinian" and u will b a hero among ur companions.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Sirigu, for example? I'll remember that one. They don't call me a bottomless pit of useless information for nothing!
Conte, yes maggots and also all sorts of insects are nutritious, and I wouldn't mind eating them - I love shrimps, crabs and other bottom.dwellers that are basically the same thing but underwater.
I reckon I'd prefer them cooked to remove a bit of the sliminess though, though in the end I suppose it's texture in a broader sense - I love raw fish, but years ago developed an intolerance of clams, oysters, razorfish and the likes - slimy stuff with membranous outsides that need biting/chewing through.
Main thing I'm uncomfortable with about the maggots, though, is the thought of them them squirming around live in my mouth.
Ioag - Never tried one before don't think I ever will either
Anyway back to football discussion.
Various reports are claiming that anyone caught wearing a Barca shirt, complete with its Qatari Airways endorsement, in Saudi Arabia, could be fined up to £120,000 and also be given a 15 years prison sentence
Whatever happened to leave on earth and goodwill to all men ?
Do you think Spain will impose the same resctrictons if Catalans claim their independence ?
Nadal won his La Decima today. Don't think there has ever been a more dominant athlete in a discipline. Simply amazing
He was unreal today. He's lost two matches out of 102 at Roland Garros. Incredible record.
Tell a lie it's two in 102 on five set matches on clay. Still unbelievable.

Grate goal. Hart would have saved it, though.

He used to be good. Declined quite a bit over the last few years.
Andre Silva will have a medical at Milan tomorrow according to Di Marzio.

How much they signing him for? Milan look to have done some decent business so far.
€30-40 million.
Mendes trying to keep the price closer to €30 million plus bonuses.
Good deal for Porto. Milan shop in the real world, unlike premier league clubs, and given his inexperience it's a lot of money for him.
Not really seen much of him. Heard very good things, though. The heir to Pauleta.

Lots of pressure on him.
Yep Portugal need a top striker.
They've got a young winger coming through who they might be able to hone as a striker
spain should have been 4 up before macedonia scored and made it nervy
the GD has closed right up now, with italy winning 5-0
