I'm good, wump - you? How are you getting on on the job front?

I'm good too although not so good on the job hunting front. Economy here is quite bad right now with layoffs every day. Have had to consider going back to school now

I rate Morata higher than Benzene. Also, he is one of your own, why sell him and not Benzema ?

Isco and Asensio have developed really well under Zizou. But can you blame James for wanting out ? It's difficult to keep every player happy

I knew Madrid had started cheated the rules when I saw James miss the bench in the final. I mean wtf

Sorry, got caught up.

Sorry to hear things aren't going too well job-wise, wump. At least you have time on your side. I'm almost certainly going to be looking for a new job after the summer too. I hope I haven't become totally unemployable yet!

Conte'nt, yeah, I don't blame James at all - the overall impression I get though, is that his own attitude wasn't the best until he realised he wasn't going to be getting the nod ahead of the youngsters on name alone. He seems to have pulled his finger out since the turn of the year, but I think that by then it was too late.

On Morata/Gangstaboy, towards the middle ofthis season I became so frustrated with KB that I thought it was time to move him on, but in fairness I think the importance of his role for us has always been underappreciated. People tend to see only his casual finishing, but overall he makes our attacking game so much more articulate and fluid.

Morata has most of the skills you could want in a striker, but I still don't think I trust him as our first choice. I could totally see him going back into his shell as soon as he hit a dry spell.

Why ? You'll never find out whether he will or not if you don't give enough game time. He shares similar characterstics to Raul, and you know how he turned out for RM.

His link up is brilliant. Also his conversion rate is impressive. Think he has done more than enough to be considered first choice striker for RM. Soon Spain will have to trust him leading their attack.

Sure Man Utd are overpaying now, but they will reap the benefits in a long term.

He's nothing like Raul, much more similar to Morientes.

That aside, I'm not -and never have been- against him getting a run in the side, I'd just rather not see it happen without having a top quality option on hand if the responsibility proves too big for him.

In other words, I wouldn't want him to be given that chance if it's at the expense of selling Benzema and not bringing in someone of similar worth.

What you're really saying is that you want an academy player to be your number one but you love Benzema too much. Understandable, Benz is joy to watch.

The thing is time is what I do not need anymore at this moment, I have too much of it. Tried to fill it with some online courses, learning guitar but it's like I have 40 hours a day nowadays You are planning to stop teaching soon or something? There is no way someone with your brain can be unemployable!

Yeah, but they have private security mercenaries nowadays so the ships aren't easy pickings like they used to be. I don't think I'd enjoy getting shot at very much

You're too kind, wump. I'm gonna be 50 soon though, it's not gonna get any easier to find work, that's for sure.

Yeah, fed up with the instability. I'm at a point where I'd rather have even rotating shifts and longer hours in exchange for knowing how much I'm going to be earning at the start of each month.

The timing for C Ronaldo to leave couldn't be more perfect, to be honest.

I never expected him to still be performing like he did this year in the last couple of months of the season, and have been wanting us to sell for a couple of seasons now.

No matter how wrong I've turned out to be in hindsight, I think now would be the perfect moment.

We could get top bucks on the back of those recent performances, just when there's a truckload of impressive young talent in the shop window.

posted on 16/6/17

always thought Ronnie would stay with us until he went waaaaaaaay past his sell by date as a footy player

lets sell him to the mancs for 200M

they're so daft with transfer money, they'd probably do it too

posted on 16/6/17

Ronnie is going nowhere.

Didn't Sergio Ramos quote that he had 'irrevocably' broken relations with Real Madrid? Only to sign an extended contract with a bumper pay rise.
