That nwo is an absolute pillock. I remember him writing an article slagging off admin for banning him from the Liverpool board and saying all their fans are precipus and make complaints to admin at the slightest lottle thing.

Politics at Madrid latele at Chelsea broke him down it seems. Too much politics at that circus, where player's power is way too strong. Is his management outdated ? Perhaps!! Has he lost interest in the game ? Quite possible !! He has achieved quite a lot in a very short period, both alternatives seems plausible. He either needs to adapt to the new management style or give up on the game if he wants to preserve his past achievment.

Probably a before an after his career at Madrid, but I'd have imagined any wounds would've healed after winning the title back for Chelsea. Even in his first season back, you might not have won but it was a good season and he must've revelled in wrecking Liverpool's chances, as much as handing the title to a Pellegrini side must've stung.

He could'very the title that season though, don't know what happened there. It didn'the feel like the old Mourinho, once in front there wasn't much chance of losing from that position. In his second season he sold some very good young players thw likes of KDB and Lukaku and brought more experienced players Cesc and Costa, that won him the title. He sacrificed long term in favour of short term gain. Giving Jose a contract extension after wining the title was a foolish move from the club. Jose's intention was quite clear that he was there for a short term, after selling good young prospects.

Agree with that bit on his first season back and that it was unlike him to let a commanding position slip; but at the same time, as mentioned, I'd have thought season 2 would've restored him to his former self.

The article suggests interesting angle though, imo.
