Just a younger LVG by the looks of it. All possession no penetration
After one game against a team that had most of their players defending inside their box? Great comparison
New man? He passed it straight out of play. Twice. Same old Raheem.
So already we've worked out how to play against you lot. Just defend and counter attack. You needed an own goal and a pen to beat Sunderland
Well done you

Haha trust me you really are nothing to worry about.
Stocky snake spent his Saturday afternoon in watching liccle citehh? Sadact. Sterling showed glimpses of the player we spent 90m on for the first time in almost 12 months. Largely we were rusty and expect a fair few performances like that until it clicks, for that reason i dont have us down for the title. Plenty to be optimistic about though.
Best team won. Boring game. Move on.

Same feeling I had today tbh, but that's ow Peps teams play. They dominate possession and they're selective with their final passes....sounds familiar

For 90m its about time he showed a glimpse.
We learned that we need a fit CB, Stones looked ok, Sterling and Navas looked a bit sharper, Nolito needs to spend an extra hour per training session kicking a ball against a wall with his left foot as he is too predictable cutting in so he can kick it with his right but otherwise looked ok. They will get sharper but they need to be quicker in the final third. Not easy against a team that parks the bus but will need to find a way through that before the Moany one brings his 6 man defence to City.
Travesty of a result, plucky Sunderland should have hammered our £800m team 5 or 6 nil.

Some honesty at last.
I'm sure we will be told that 6 at the back is the new shexy football. The rabble in red will be sure to be bus parking all season.
Victory for football indeed. Guardiola needs to educate people about football, this anti-football crap is ruining the game. Funny to see some people making judgements on the basis of one game, wonder if they did so when Moyes' United won 4-1 on his league debut
Pep Bitter Gourdiola will send the nation to sleep.
City should be sponsored by Ovaltine.

There was actually a thread on the United board after that predicting when he would be made Sir David Moyes.

At least we can always count on Moyes to not have the balls to go for a win. Still, there were bright spots and its a work in progress.
No one agreed wit me on the way home but I thought Kolarov was MOTM.
Excellent debut from Stones, solid performances from Sterling, Sagna and Clichy.
Nolito's not quite there yet but plenty of effort.
