>>>Only a complete tool would have not picked them, whats your point?
I know a manager who left out the best midfielder in the division and a bloke who scores 20 goals a season, for two deadbeats in the first match of the season.

Clough had nothing to do with Hughes or Hendrick and did he not sell Shackell and Grant too?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I suppose you think that picking them for the first team had nothing to do with their development.

I merely stated he didn't sign them
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think there are lots of managers out there who wouldn't have blooded them so young. SM being one of them. Clemence another. Clough also gave Bennett and early run but sadly he hasn't kicked on.
The players Clough signed are reason this side won't win anything until they're moved on. We will continue to fail if we keep basing a team around the likes of Hendrick, Bryson, Martin
666, how's about a 'handy guide to Burton FC'?
Surely not done one of these before, could be interesting?
Fair enough he didnt sell Grant
As for playing Hendrick and Hughes at an early age, what was the competition then? I cant remember but it wouldnt have been very good
I dont see who Clement could have played from the youth team to improve the first team during his time
Remember them weighted passes Hendrick did in early days, n Hughes on the left.
Bush, there are none so blind as those who will not see. It's painful, seriously.
Let's just move on....
West Ham are on the verge of announcing the signing of a “highly-rated young midfield”, according to The Insider segment on the club’s official website.
The Hammers are expected to confirm the signing of the unnamed player imminently after he successfully underwent a medical on Thursday.
“The youngster has been one of the star performers for his Club and will become the eighth major signing of the summer,” the Insider statement read.
Will Hughes?
Hughes deffo a possibility!
Just set alarm bells ringing when I read it, fits his description perfectly, just missing the albino reference.
Hoping its Hendrick instead though
If there's anything in the 'Brentford striker for £7m' rumour then West Ham had better be forking out £38m if it's Hughes !!

Which proves that the challenge Nige had was far harder than that of the more recent managers.
We can go round these arguments all day.
Our Nige was a good firefighter for us. He stabilised the club and gave 666 his "Peabo". But we have moved on from him and I hope we trounce Burton tmoro...humiliate em...showing them its beneath us to come to such places for a League game. I hope they never darken our door again after they are relegated this season.
Safe! It's not Hughes π

Who is it then Tommo?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Swiss midfielder Edimilson Fernandes (apparently), never heard of him myself (but that means nowt)_.
He's young, a midfielder, a stand-out performer for his club, but not an albino
What have people got against Burton?
They've done amazingly to get to the Chamionship, you get there on merit, not crowd size.

I may be totally wrong, but I get the feeling that most of the vitriol for Burton (i.e. Clough), comes from JA606's who are under 40?
I think generally speaking you become more compassionate in general as you get older, more "live and let live"?
I doubt any of the Burton bashers are U40 on here.

Burton stinks. NLN stinks. Their ground could barely contain our recent influx of gloryhunter booboys like Backo et al... Spend some fcking money on your ground you cheap tw ats, instead of spending it all on NLN's mates' contracts.
Fck Burton.
