Stearman was magnificent. Easily the most composed and all round performance of the lot.

How we've missed him.

It's going to be a long gone hard slog, I know it's early days and these players need to gel, but the worrying thing is that wally keeps on about changing the team from game to game. We are not a team yet and he needs to sort it quick. On the plus side dicko is due back any game now and Graham is 8 weeks from starting training.

Let's hope we can hang on until these guys return because at times we look really poor.

Cyp...Zenga has my support, but I doubt he was the one who got him back from Fulham. More like Thellwell has influenced our coach.

Time will tell and I'll also wager he's the first on to collect 5 bookings.

Wise words Tino. With so many new players coming, especially from overseas, it's going to take time and patience.

StearmanTold you we should never go back
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Guarantee Wolfie will use that to say he is right all along at about 17:30 this evening.

=======================

Just got in and read the report. I warned you lot that he'd be a liability. Thanks Ikeme, otherwise we could have lost this game.

What does the third 'f' stand for?

It doesn't stand for anything. It's as a direct result of 16 yr old Lagavulin

Evening all, strange anti climax today. I Said yesterday that we should have had enough fire power to get past plucky Burton - not quite. Also said they would run like maniacs for 75 minutes - 95 actually.

There were glimpses of what could be out there today, wouldn't say we were poor though. Costa and Texeira look stronger with each game and CBJ and Coady both had very good games. Gladon kept getting caught offside showed little else really. Prince had a quiet game bar his goal and Cavaleiro was steady but promising.

As, for our old friend Reckless Richard,it was a typical Stearman show, battled strongly, threw himself in front of everything, conceded a penalty and got booked.

Draw was fair to be honest, overall 6.5/10, MOM CBJ. Looked much better with Bod & Mason, hope they both start on Tuesday.

If Bod and Mason had started today and played 95 minutes we would have won that game comfortably. I said a few days ago that you cannot buy 11 foreign players and expect them all to settle happily in the UK and adapt to Championship football, there are bound to be 1 or 2 flops. Right now it looks as if Gladon could be one of them.

Ah well, midnight here and the single malt is winning. Time for beddy byes. Nighty night wulfs, see you on Tuesday.

Oh and the ref took every opportunity to penalise us, goal disallowed, debatable pen, bookings for diving, foul throws, ignored fouls in our favour. I guess we're going to have to put up with this from now on.

I agree with this. Both Mason and Bod made a positive influence on the game. How anyone can criticise Stearman after that performance is a mystery, (unless they have an agenda). Frustrating game and I hope things improve soon.

Don't think Stearman is completely beyond criticism Bute. Be it bad luck or bad judgement, calamity never seems to be far away with him. I love his determination and attitude and he clearly loves playing for wolves. But those that say there are better players out there have a point

Haven't seen the pen decision but looked harsh on him.

Yes that's normally Sunday morning. Tomorrow I shall be fresh add a daisy.

The pen was one most refs would not have given, not many Burton players appealed for, and the general comment I heard around me was 'what did he give that for'. But nowadays if you defend crosses with your arms in the air and the ball hits one, then some refs will give a pen. He was a poor ref today though, one of those that likes to get noticed.

I thought Stearman played well today but I do think he's a player that has a mistake in him. I do think he did better today than Hause has been doing though, and maybe Iorfa too in recent weeks

Exactly - and that's why you hear the nonsense you hear from those who don't watch the games.

this clearly doesn't make sense.

Should've read .....Haven't seen replay of pen incident but looked harsh on him in real time.

And that's without a drink.

Anyone hear Pulis's interview on WM this afternoon. "There's things going on at this club that I've never seen anywhere else." Don't think he meant good things

One reason I can't say I feel comfortable with this rotation talk, you need to play your key players, full stop.

Well that's what the E&S reckons.
