Can someone tell Zenga that a football match lasts 90 mins +. Yet again, I hear that we played well in the second half. That's most matches this season where our first half showing has been poor or average. We need to come out of the blocks straight away if we are to get anywhere near the top 6.

Pulis has nothing to lose. He knows that Fu Ming will sack him the minute he gets FA clearance (Hodgson has the job waiting for him) and knows that if egghead sacks him, the compensation comes out of his pocket because he still owns the club.

He can therefore do and say what he wants.

Sandwell are in an ever increasing mess as their squad expands but the quality diminishes. They have fifteen players over 32 and a similar number on massive wages and long contracts. Berahino will now run down his contract and go for nothing next summer.

They do not have a squad that is fit for the Championship. Their fans are deserting them in their droves, sick of JP, sick of TP and terrified that Fu Ming is another Carson Yeung. Indeed, he has spent 90% of his entire wealth acquiring the club.

He will asset strip the club and hope that they can just stop up for two more seasons so that he can take the £200m SKY money and then sell at a net profit of £140m when taking into account running costs.

Not gonna happen.

I can see them suffering a quadruple relegation and going bust. Crowds of 180 in the Bostik League, nettles growing on seats, pigeons making their homes in the changing rooms.

Magic.

Busy night at work Unc

The takeover is due to go through this week and Pulis is certainly making the kind of public noises designed to protect his reputation. As you say it looks like he knows he's off.

Well that's what the E&S reckons.

Another game where we were poor for the first half and another game where the opposition were looking more likely to score for most periods of the game. We looked like we had a team that have never played together and that's what we are at the moment and will be for a few more weeks. Teixeira, Costa, Cavaleiro and Oniangue all looked to me like players that will improve. Gladon didn't convince at all, but the jury will be out on all those for a while yet, and on the manager.

But Bodvarsson and Borrhwick are top class signings and both Coady and Mason are playing very well.

Hopefully we will get to see Saiss and John soon, maybe Tuesday

Lads, I know y'all love the Z but I'm gonna stick my neck out and say this

He is not 'the one' he will be gone by Xmas !

He is a maverick for sure, but not what we need to get out of this division in a upward direction

Sorry H x

Two points off the play offs after six games, explain your reasoning.

dj - yr comments are pretty much the same as my earlier ones (except we disagree a little on coady). this is a team being worked out and developed on the pitch week by week. so long as we stay in touch with the top 6 and show some decent progress then i'll be happy and worry less about the final scores for now. IF we have bought well then we'll see the best from this side in the second half of the season.

was also not impressed with gladon's first game, as he was a little static and didn't really show the strength or urgency of bod when he came on. the one thing I did think is that I bet gladon was sat on the bench wondering why he didn't get a single cross in 60 minutes anywhere near as good as the one bod missed his free header from. it may be that gladon is not an all round great player but is a very effective finisher - which is a great option to have on the bench. after the lack of service yesterday we've not learned much about that side of his game. but clearly bod is first choice for now and I hope we see zenga moving towards a more settled XI over the next few weeks.

Both Mason and Bod had an immediate impact when they came on, and I felt sure that that would turn into a momentum that would bring about a win. As it was, we were so close to getting all three points, and it was a mystery how the ref (who the crowd turned against with "you don't know what you're doing", found six minutes of additional time.

I feel it in my water !

My (half)wolf like senses tell me your not 'the one' sorry! We can't keep playing like a team with no direction and expect to pull it out the bag in the second 45. Furthermore, squad rotation is very noble but not changing the fecking lot around every game !?!

Your bold but I like you, now get your Sondico gloves and go !

How long have I been here? How long have the new players been here? Dicko is back this week and Graham will be back before Christmas. Rome wasn't built in a day.

I'm going on Tuesday, so I'll brush up my Italien and have a quiet word with Walt. Worry not all will be well after my wise words.

It's Italian so you should also brush up on your English.

We'll have to wait and see on Gladon gb. His cv doesn't make him out to be a great finisher and I don't think it was that we didn't get crosses in during the first hour, Costa and Borthwick knocked in a few but Gladon never got ahead of his defender all afternoon. He had a poor game but certainly be unfair to write him off after one match.

Judging from Zenga's comments about rotation I think we would have seen plenty of changes to the team on Tuesday even if we had played well. Bodvarsson and Mason will surely start and I hope Saiss and John too.

Anyone else concerned with this rotation talk?

We are a team that hasn't played much together so i fail to see how chopping and changing each week is going to help?

Our best players have to play 80-90% of the time, no messing about, Bod and Mason are our best attack and it should be up to the others to oust them not just get chances like yesterday.

Inside 3 months you will become worse than a halfwit, the SB will call for your head and Halfy will have a smug look on his jowls

You'll still be welcome on the mind blowing match threads

I agree, Cinci. Let's find the best team and stick with it as much as possible.
I understand that players need rest and one or two like-for-like changes could be accommodated, but the wholesale changes that Zenga has made so far have been detrimental imo.
Winning can become a habit so let's find the best team and develop that habit.
