Mane man

You drew with us because

1.....You could not beat our keeper except a very dodgy pen

2....We scored from open play and had a 100 percent pen turned down

You did play well but it is an eleven man team and our keeper and defence were more than capable of taking care of your attack except for that joke of a pen....you were the lucky team to get a point

Being tripped from behind in the box is a dodgy penalty is it?

Tbf it's a tight one. As Stoke had a exact same situation yesterday but they never got it

This is about City not Liverpool , I will say that if Pool can tighten up their defence they will be a terrific team

'City are a top side but I'm going to reserve my judgement until they play some decent teams'

We'll be playing Everton soon, so we shall see.

And Sandy, Stoke away isn't an easy game when Spurs play them but an easy game when City play them.

everyone bends over for everyone but Spurs it would seem!

Its reported that DeBruyne has a hamstring injury.

If he is out next Sunday it will certainly make life easier for us. He is a special player and has been the best player in the league so far imo.

Spurs fans have me to thank for this as i put him in my FF team this weekend. Guaranteed curse Didnt score, got injured!

I can see where the OP is coming from but I think they do have the best squad and I think Pep is an exceptional manager.

Before the season it was said that it will take a while for his ideas to bed in. 9 wins later they have played poor opposition.

What if his ideas do bed in and they get better? In Iheanacho they have a very underrated player and the perfect back up to Aguero. Wouldn't surprise me if they bought a striker in January either.

Next week against Spurs will say a lot more about both sides.

What City do have, looking in from the outside, is harmony. Pep seems to have a good idea of his best 11 and of the system and style he wants to play. That's something we're not seeing yet at United.

If City can ship out Toure, or at least distract him with cake, they'll have what looks like a very settled dressing room with players eager to impress a new manager.

They're certainly title favourites at this point but it only takes a bad result or two to raise questions.

Everton don't count.

Spurs are probably the only side capable of stopping them scoring and it should be a good game but I also think it will be quite narrow. Some great match ups though. Sterling v Walker. Gundogan v Dembele. Aguero v Alderweireld.

We've a good record against City but I don't fancy it this year!

Interesting to see what the Barca double header does to their focus. Not the hardest games either side of the two ties though.

It's a fair point that they haven't been massively tested yet, but it's not like they have played complete dross.

Steuea was it away in Europe? Hardly an easy game and they made it look easy. Gladbach are not a bad side by any means and they swotted them aside.

Swansea away twice in a week, always a side that can produce results against the good sides at home, again two wins, albeit not easy wins.

Utd away they destroyed them in the first half hour, complete domination, and showed they could scrap about when Utd resorted to Wimbledon tactics.

They have tougher tests to come, Celtic away never easy, Spurs likewise, but the reality is they look too good for most in our league and this is with Pep only being here 5 mins and new players bedding in.

I dont think its too far from the truth that City have played some sides in poor form. Pep has certainly been able to ease himself in

4 of the bottom 5, Bournemouth (13th) and United.

United a tough game but really they were dreadful in the first half, they let City totally dominate. In the 2nd, United were far more aggressive in their style and pressing and matched City & could have grab an equaliser. Man Utd really did bend over for them in that first half.

SO i agree, i want to see them play Spurs, Liverpool Arsenal to see if they really are the Champions elect. These are the form teams with real quality to match, each providing very different challenges. It has been a bit easy for them so far. They have beaten everyone you'd expect them to beat and United made it easy for them.

posted on 25/9/16

They are only going to get better with time and they can only beat what's in front of them

posted on 25/9/16

I think we'll beat City. They like to play out from the back but haven't yet faced a good high pressing team. You need a lot of quality on the ball to make that work and I doubt Sagna and co. have got it. Looking forward to seeing Dembele / Alli / Lamela getting stuck in to them.

posted on 25/9/16

Funny thing ....nobody gave us a chance last year and how did that turn out

posted on 25/9/16

When has a gk who won the ball ever had a pen given against them? And it was only one foot and no studs showing when he made contact with the ball

Could say similar about us

We've beat - Palace, Stoke, Sunderland & Boro

Drawn - Liverpool & Everton

That's a pretty easy start to the season tbf
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Er, no it is not, two of those teams occupy the current top five, Palace is a London Derby always difficult, and Stoke and Middlesborough away are not easy trips.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Stoke not a easy away tripwe just beat them 4-0 two consecutive season

Boro is a newly promoted team and a expected win

Palace was going through a bad start and had no striker an expected win

Sunderland are just shiet expected win

Everton & Pool only tough games and drew both

Easy start to season
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Middlesbro and Stoke have not started that well, but will take plenty of points of some of the top teams. Spurs being a top, top side have found a way to beat this sort of side. Guaranteed that come a cold, dark Dcember, January day they will up beat quite a few teams on their own patch.

We have always picked up 3 points at the lane for the past couple of years except last season.
You will not be playing against Demichellis in defence this year.
The best results Spurs can get from this game baring any ref errors like last year will be a draw.
Our work rate is better. We have better players and manager.
Don't worry guys we are coming for real battle this round and Spurs will fall.
