The BBC just let one of the top comedy producers go because he was a white male, they want to have 50% of their staff be female and up the minority numbers to be diverse, this I don't agree with at all.
white privilage is a thing but not nearly as beneficial as the far left make out, also by tring to be diverse you're weakening your own business by hiring someone based on skin colour / gender instead of ability.
Problem with racism is it is constanlty being talked about, it's forced into every facet of life, more now than ever, everything is being identified by skin colour, religion or gender and it's a total mess causing more divine than anything.

You need to be biased to erradicate the inequity in society.
You are right that ideally everybody would be on the same playing field, but they aren't. This allows the disadvantaged groups to fight more fairly than ever before.

There was an article the Daily Mail published that showed that right wingers were not as smart as left wingers. I shared it on the politics thread and the right wingers were apoplectic. They did not even know that IS were right wingers

The BBC just let one of the top comedy producers go because he was a white male, they want to have 50% of their staff be female and up the minority numbers to be diverse, this I don't agree with at all.
white privilage is a thing but not nearly as beneficial as the far left make out, also by tring to be diverse you're weakening your own business by hiring someone based on skin colour / gender instead of ability.

The paper analysed large UK studies which compared childhood intelligence with political views in adulthood across more than 15,000 people.
The authors claim that people with low intelligence gravitate towards right-wing views because they make them feel safe.
Crucially, people's educational level is not what determines whether they are racist or not - it's innate intelligence, according to the academics.
Social status also appears to play no part.
The study, published in Psychological Science, claims that right-wing ideology forms a 'pathway' for people with low reasoning ability to become prejudiced against groups such as other races and gay people.
