try and have a debate and put in a post with different points and then you get justanothertopperspur and philspurs come on to sum up why they may be disliked.
Sweeping statements with nothing to back it up.
Chelsea have lots of racist fans...i've been a season ticket holder for 20 years and have not witnessed any racism other than in paris...now im sure in the 70s and 80s there was but that definitely was not just residing within stamford bridge
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There was an element of sarcasm in my post which may have been difficult to detect....
But I will say I've only experienced racist abuse from two sets of fans - West Ham and Chelsea. And in greater numbers than what I'd consider a 'tiny minority'. And I do think that many of the problems between fans on a larger scale may have stemmed from those issues. Sorry if you don't like it.

Think the West Ham thing has also not been helped by your rivalry over getting the Olympic stadium and barely concealed dislike that West Ham's board have got with Levy

West Ham like to think they're on the same level as Spurs. Every year they get proved wrong but that doesn't change their opinion.

Yeah they were the size of Chelsea with similar aspirations before Roman's roubles. Really thought that Wham would have a good season after scamming that deal with Boris Johnson over the stadium. However, looks like playing 38 away games a season might not be such a good idea. They could go down in m y opinion
Everton fans don't like us cos we were once at a similar level to them but now we've got better than them.
It helps that we make a lot more money than them, on match days we make twice the amount and will be even more so when our new stadium opens.
We basically have an extra 50 million, even more now with the CL than Everton.

No, I've been to lots of matches, and only witnessed racist abuse from the two sets of fans mentioned.
I'm not calling all fans of either team racist, that would be ridiculous. I also didn't say it 'stems' from a club. But it's possible that certain groups are attracted to certain clubs for this reason.
Even anecdotally - you say 'I've not witnessed any racism other than Paris' which is essentially saying 'I've not witnessed any racism apart from that one time I witnessed racism', it's not a great case for the defence is it?
I'm sure you're a stand up guy and that type of behaviour appals you, as it would with the vast majority of your fellow fans. But I personally feel that that whole issue has played a part in the animosity between the sets of fans, hence why I made the statement.
But it's possible that certain groups are attracted to certain clubs for this reason.

You'll always find some fans who dislike a team even though their not geographical rivals.
A Portsmouth fan I know hates Everton because he got picked on by an Evertonian at school
I have nothing against Spurs, I do seem them historically on the same level as us, they're better in cups win, we are better in League titles.
Recent times however, yes, Spurs have moved on well ahead of us, they have an excellent chap in Levy, whilst we've been stuck with Kenwright, though hopefully Morishi will provide us with a new stadium and funds to compete again.
PS Liverpool are rubbish too!
This site is just a small dot on the football landscape and people shouldn't be too influenced by the daily bollox that the same keyboard warriors tend to chuck at each other.
I know lots of West Ham fans and they detest Chelsea just as much, if not more so than Spurs. Similarly the Chelsea fans I know don't like us but they except that Arsenal are our biggest rivals and unlike the ones on here they are not trying to create a false rivalry (although they do get very upset if you mention 1975).
Liverpool fans are fine I will be out with 3 of them on Saturday night and they are far more capable of dealing with the here and now that the history loving ones who frequent this site.
I don't know any Everton fans.
Of course we're getting spoken more of these days than Everton these days, we're a better team with more going on around the club than them atm.
A lot of the 'rivalry' you see here is driven by a few bellends from each club who choose wumming as their way to pass their 8 hour work day, some of them each and every day, don't read too much into it.

Well if you want to tar an entire fan base then all Pool fans are whinging, precious little mugs who still think its the fackin 80s and they are relevant.
---------
This is why Spurs are hated. Their fans suffer from a complex that makes them irritable, fussy and needing acknowledgement etc.
In fact, this thread answers the OP aptly.
There have been several surveys over the last few years about the most disliked teams, Spurs have never been in the top five I believe. Chelsea and Man United always come out as the most disliked.
I actually don`t mind Everton, they are very similar to Pool but without the incessant media wannnkkk fest and playing with 12 men every week.
