Chelsea fans are a rare breed in London, apart from maybe Croydon.
by all accounts you need to venture to places like staines, slough, and Bracknell to find most of their chavvy fanbase.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
not entirely true though isit? Richmond, Putney, Kingston, Wandsworth mostly chelsea...what are you talking about, have you ever been to london?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I was born in London, live in London now, and have lived and work in London for all of my 30 years apart from about 4 when I was 6 - 10 years old
Kingston ?that's where my football team were based for a good few years and there wasn't one Chelsea fan on the team. full of spurs man u and Liverpool though, and of course arsenal
----------------------------------------------------------------------
your just telling lies though, I've lived around them areas my whole life. Why come on an internet forum and talk rubbish. Do you have nothing better to do? There's even a chelsea store in Kingston now due to the demographic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
what so because there is a Chelsea shop there had to have been someone on my team who supported Chelsea?
no Chelsea fans, but there was even a Fulham fan

There is an interesting distinction between United and LFC fans in reaction to their recent declines.
Most teams/fans will take a bit of pleasure seeing the big boys knocked off their perch and the Sky 4 love-in was nauseating for any fan outside of that cartel.
Therefore United and Liverpool fans have taken some abuse when they have slipped up, and rightly so. It's all good fun and part of the tribal nature of football.
The difference i see is that Utd fans, with some exceptions of course, seem much better able to cope with it. Liverpool fans get very defensive and as you witness on here, it always descends into "we're bigger than you" . This is rarely the case with United fans and i think they are slightly less insecure about their status. Their decline of late has been a bit of a dip in an otherwise glorious recent history.
Liverpool used to win trophies regularly, but their recent history is one of a single league cup in 10 years and coupled with missing out on UCL on a regular basis, and sometimes out of Europe altogether. While their history is glorious there is clear insecurity about their present/recent history. Having banged the "its all about trophies" drum so loud for so long, they are having to backtrack a bit and suddenly its "5 finals in the last ....years" or whatever.
It is an uncomfortable transition for may scoucers, and as the team who have mainly been responsible for usurping them in the top 4 it is our duty as football fans to rub their faces in it. I dont think Spurs fans can be blamed for thisThe fact they take such goading so badly adds to the entertainment.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nice rant.
From my experience LFC fans are fine with accepting banter from teams that have achieved stuff like Utd and Chelsea.
Spurs not so much because they have not won a major trophy in literally decades and I think that's understandable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks for proving my point

Don't despise Spurs as a club. In fact I was completely negligent of their presence. Until they started the riots and looting their own place. Who in the right frame of mind would this and Moronic has the cheek to call Chelsea fans chaaav. And he often wonders why people question his intelligence.
I don't mind some of the Spurs fans on here and in the real life. In fact I enjoy bantering with them, because there is variety of things we can throw at each other.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Talking of intelligence, the club had nothing to do with it.

The key here is that Spurs fans try and rub it in our face but in actuality, have nothing. City fans can go for it, as can Chelsea if you go back a bit further. They have overtaken us and won things. Spurs try and do it and all they have is two CL outings, no trophies. That's when the inevitable net spend trophy card gets played. Oh, and the training ground card. Can't forget that.
