I love the A5. Im undecided between that or the A6 as my next car in 3yrs time.
10th car - Audi A5 3.0TDI Quattro cabrio. Went a bit crazy with my first car in Germany. Lovely motor but kinda regret spending so much. 32k (euros- so about 50k sterling right now )"
That's what I got my wife.
Not saying anything mind

The sad thing about this post is that you used to drive a BMW and Audi and now you drive a Vauxhall!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When your single, the audi and bmw's were the thing.
Now, a million bills, a family etc. A car isnt that important. I have an estate now. Nice enough but no audi or bmw
................
The Vauxhalll are near top of the ops spending though
I'm 36 years old and have never owned a car.
I've never had the need for one and have always either saved the money I might've spent or had other things to spend on.
I might for business purposes splash out on an early 90s Toyota Hilux next year if I've got the money. I cannot say I am very excited about the prospect of this

Nice car this one. S line too ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thanks! Of course! The only thing I wasn't really looking for was the Cabrio bit, but it was the only car I found that had all the important stuff! I'd convinced myself I was going to get a BMW 335d, but just couldn't find one that had the spec I wanted in the one car.
And Ginger shaaaat-it!!!!
But yeah, Mrs.Biglaa keeps stealing it.

Now my Audi is a real he man's car
I've told her when she finally finishes at uni I want an Aston with her first big fat paycheque
Problem is, by the time she finshes fecking around I'll be about 100!
You'd get your Mrs to buy your car?
The world has gone mad
P.S. Can you have a word with my Mrs
well I'm paying for bleedin everything for about 7 years so damn right! I'm retiring as soon as she's done! Feet up, me and the dogs giving it retirement luxury, she can so how it feels on the other side!
Won't tot everything up, but my current cars cost me about £80k. Probably had about 15 cars since I got my first one.

Let me dreeeeeeam!!!
Not much of a car history but here goes:
2007 Vauxhall Corsa 1.2 SXI, bought in 2009 when I passed my test - £11,100.
Currently drive a 2014 Ford Fiesta ST3 which I got in May - £13,750. Really good price considering the condition, mileage and it's top spec.
I've clearly spent far too much.
Hey ho.
Loved every minute in every car. Changed at the right times. For me at least
I'm not that fussed on how much I spend buying a car but how much maintenance costs. I have turbos go on me and my last car before now the head gasket went. Blooody expensive to repair.
Since ive gone to PCP and a having a new I don't have to worry about crap.
Had a 2003 1.4 Golf given to me. Would've kept it if it wasn't for the door locks dying and needing whole new doors to sort the problem. Don't really buy the German hype anymore for that reason.
Back in May I bought a 3 year old 1.4 Vauxhall GTC coupe for around £9k. Lovely car to drive, just not fast enough.
Thinking about getting a hot hatch of some sort in a year or two.
My biggest outlay was for my 6 seater Iveco Daily. Me and kids love it, the Missus not so.
First car was a 12 yr old Sierra. Good car to drive back and forth fron North Wales to Rugby and cost £850 back in 2003. I had that for a year and a half before buying a brand new Mini Cooper in 2004. I still have it now as well and it's been a cracking little car for me and great to drive around the small windy roads we have around here.
32k for a discovery sport and 11k for a vw golf.
Over the years, around 100k I reckon. I've always bought cars outright rather than getting them on finance.
Beetle £500
A40 Farrina £300
Maxi £350
Mini £280
Escort £600
Astravan £1200
Audi 80 £270
Sierra £900
Astra £5000
Hyundai £5000
Another Hyundai £6000
Catrerham £22000
Over £40k in over 30 years. not actually that bad.
No one here ever had the pleasure of owning a Lexus?
I have a Lexus IS250 2.5 litre. Great car
Had a wee look at Lexus before buying my current car but ended up sticking with Audi.
Best car I've ever had
I had the 220d SEL. Very nice car and I got more for my money than I would have had I gone for the big German makes.
Took it to 140k miles before head gasket went and then I got rid.
i spent £15K on my last car..a VW golf nearly new only 4k miles on the clock
I wont be buying another car for about 10 years now, until this one has clocked up about 250K miles
cars are a waste of money..and a big drain on finances
Spent a lot on cars over the years but always with a view to break even if not make a bit. Used to buy and sell regularly. Then kids came along and started buying 7 seated typed.
Best was a touran which was brand new and also had a transporter which wasn't new but loved it
