I think Lakers will make playoffs but it will be a dogfight and they have a hell of a lot to do starting with tightening that defence. Win or Lose, seems like showtime Lakers is back

Celtics result I didn't see coming. Ditto Utah. Seems like teams have abandoned defence collectively.

Raptors are going to be a problem in the East.

Big triple double from Giannis last night as the Bucks go 4-0.

I think Giannis has a bit to prove this year. I think he has been overlooked in the MVP categories and people don't put him at the top as King of the East since LBJ left and he is out to prove them wrong.

Kawhi is King of the East for me, Giannis close 2nd though

Good win for Lakers. OKC are in massive trouble. Westbrook lost hat game for them in the 4th. Very greedy and making pointless 3 point attempts. Think he was 0 from 7 in the last quarter.

Very good win for lakers especially as they were trailing.

Westbrook does what westbrook does.

Cavs...to lose their first dozen games? LOL

Bit of both, they’re crap and they will just purposely yank

Tank not yank

lebron james is the best team player of all time, in any sport.

Took the cavs to the finals last year, they lost 1 player, ONE, and they will probably have less than 20 wins.

Whoa, easy there. I dig LBJ a lot but there is debate to be hard. He is up there though.

Cavs are garbage though. I mean, shocking...

Tanking this year will not favour them though and besides, getting a generational player like LBJ and one willing to stay with Cavs is microscopic...

as a solo player I agree.

Did you not read the whole comment or what?

posted on 26/10/18

Don't even think as a solo player MJ has much on LBJ but anyhow pointless and impossible to comment on different eras.

As a team player, he is up there.

Wow, Houston are going for it.

Aggressive move: offering four future 1st round picks to Timberwolves for Jimmy Butler.

Still Inferior to Golden State IMO but very ballsy ( or insane??)

Stupid offer their offence is fine it’s their defence that’s the issue

Tbf Jimmy Butler is an elite defender. Don't know if he is worth that though.

IMO, Jimmy Butler is not a generational talent and one that doesn't quite tip the scales. Why not offer that for an Anthony Davis? Giannis?

Bucks are unlikely to trade. As are the Pelicans. Bucks particularly have just come out of rebuild mode and are now looking a buying players to improve in order to contend.

It is well known that Butler wants out at Timberwolves. He isn’t their star asset, with Wiggins and Towns being their main franchise focal points to build around. Would get a large salary off their books to give them more cap space. A single first round pick from the Rockets would be low value, but 5 of them is crazy. Makes a lot more sense than your suggestions of two teams trading their franchise player.

posted on 27/10/18

^^^ I am well aware of that but why not try?

It is the worst kept secret in the NBA that AD is leaving the Pelicans sometime within the next two years.

IMO Butler is better than both Towns and Wiggins - the latter who is overrated. KAT is a stud but mentally fragile ( Morata is his footballing equivalent)

I didn't advocate a single pick, I just said four or so (some saying five, others saying four plus Eric Gordon) is a bit of a steep price for Houston but I see why Morey is throwing everything at it. The way the rockets rota is constructed, they probably have a two year window max to win the thing. CP-3 will be 37 end of his contract and he is injury prone. Harden is Harden etc, I just feel it is too high a price to pay for Jimmy Butler.

If they were to get a genuine superstar like AD/ Giannis/ A fit Boogie or Kawhii ( yes, he wants LA), they'd be as good as if not better than GSW. Jimmy is not the guy to trade your future for IMO.

Not to mention Butler has fallen out with his last two teams, so there is that risk too

Let's be honest, barring some disaster, Bucks are not winning the championship this decade.

I didn’t say you advocated a single pick. Just pointed out a single pick would be low value, but offering four or five seems crazy.

Trading for Giannis seems completely unfeasible at this time, regardless of whether you think they could win a championship. Bucks are building at the moment and will not trade their prize asset. I just pointed that out.

Trading for Jimmy Butler is feasible, regardless of whether you think it is the right option or not. I am not sure whether it is the right option for them, but it is an option; unlike the ones you have put forward.

End the season. No point. When you have curry, play and KD, with cousins coming in. Just void the season.
