E&s reporting today that Wolves would prefer a British manager but that Allardyce looks a long shot.
Good principle to buy British but who are the good British managers we could go for?
Read the article it was Molyneux.
To answer my own question;
Eddie Howe may well be the lowest paid manager in the Premier League and has taken Bournemouth as far as they can go
Freedman is surely not a good choice. His best win ratio at a club is worse than Howe's relative failure at Burnley
Rowett has done well at Blues
Smaller club guys doing well are Dean Smith and Keith Curle
If the best British manager available is Nigel Pearson then no thank you. I wouldn't want him anywhere near Molineux.
I can honestly say I would rather have Ince than Pearson.
i'll send in me football manager honours list
You just know that we are going to end up with a clown who will be sacked by March.
March I give him till end of January at best.
At least if you get a clown...get a killer clown!...
Just read on Molmix about a Sunderland fan that's applied for loads of managers jobs and compiled the responses in to a book. Fair play to him. Varying levels of humour in the responses apparently. Wolves played along.

Man United and West Brom told him to feck off.

Paul Cook would have been high on my list, he is going to get a championship job very soon.
I remember stating, sometime mid last season, something along the lines of .... it would be fun to see Wolves taken over by some bunch of nut cases, that would make crazy decisions, spend loads of cash and go through 3 or four managers a season (a la Leeds, Watford, etc). At lease that would be more interesting that the boring old sh!te we have to put up with now.
Jeff is watching you see, he's hanging on my every word.
I reckon Eddie Howe is being lined up for the England job. The FA chairman was on the radio yesterday morning and his description of the next England coach fitted Howe to a tee.
Hearing that in recent weeks all has not been well behind the scenes at Wolves. The Zenga, Cusin, Butti trio were regularly having rows with other back room staff at the club (not the players) and a big divide was emerging inside the club. This was not helped by Zenga spending much of the week in the build up to the Leeds game in Dubai with his family, and then returning there immediately after the game.
These are problems that evidently mirrored why he had previously been sacked by Sampdoria

Oldy, why would he drink from the poisoned chalice when he could sip from The Chalice at the Golden Palace.
Looks like Freedman has got the nod.
Joe Mason is set to have a hernia op and will be out for a month
Sheffield United who have been unbeaten in 10 league games are under pressure from their supporters to sign Ethan Ebanks-Landell permanently from Wolves. The centre back has been outstanding for them this season, and he is out of contract at the end of the season
