Hales threw away his test career for a few weeks off. He's not a test player anyway.
England is a very strong outfit in all formats now. They also have enough bench strength and unfortunately I can't say for my team India. It will be very tough tour but I may not be surprised if England beat us again in India!
Blue, how about you keep this thread for the whole series! That way it will easier for us and stay on same page! I hate folks who keep on adding series after series in one thread or drag a 6month old stale just for their egos..
Cooky said Jimmy would be injured for the 1st test against India. Hales was already on thin ice as he's not good or consistent enough. I prefer the kid Handed as he could take over from Cook in a few years as the obdurate opener. Duckett should be middle order for me or give Buttler a chance again. No going back to Ballance.
England batsmen have shown that they struggle against spin - that's 50% of the problem with the other 50 being the 3 spinners... only takes one good spinner to be competitive on those pitches.
Drs use big plus for England
I would say England favs: 51/49
England favourites? Don't talk daft.
England will do well to avoid 5-0 with the pitches India prepare.
Yeah as soon usual u showed ur ignorance pal. England won last time! Also pitches now in India favor seamers too and they don't spin much like before. Just see recent series against New-Zealand. Bowlers like Bhuvi, Shami got quite some wickets and made huge impact in the series.
Anderson is a huge blow for England. He might not get the swing but with his nails he is able to get decent reverse swing with control.
Woakes struggled in the first test. Broad and Stokes will be able to hold up an end with the old ball.
I don't think Rashid is a test match leggie. It is easy to play a leggie when you don't need to hit him for 6. He doesn't bowl the nagging length consistently like Yasir does.
Moeen and Batty will struggle as India only play 1 left handed batsman. England need to give Ansari a go in 2nd test against Bengis.
I make India favorites.
India make spin friendly wickets...here is a tip...get a decent spinner and teach the batsman how to play against them.
Otherwise you can't really complain. They are not going to prepare a seaming bouncy wicket when spin is their main strength
Also our batsmen struggle against spin and bowlers like Rashid n Moeen can do lot of damage!
Facty stop being a phudi.
You all know India should win this series. England's spin depth is poor and most of the batsman are inexperienced.
4-1 India (hope I am wrong)
Lefty our pitches are no more much spin friendly like in the past. Seamers did really well in last series and Ashwin got wickets due to his improved skills which I hope he continues especially overseas! Even in ODI, bowler like Pandya did really well in his debut! In short, mark my words some surprises to come regarding pitches..
Kashy ur funny as always my frnd!
On a serious note, I can't trust our jokers like Nohit etc!
Agree with A14, it will be 4-0. Our spinners are awful.
Fact taker is full of 💩
Don't think it will be as easy for us as made out - England are definitely no mugs and outplayed us last time they visited India. Can see a 3-1 to us - though the chances of even one test being drawn is unlikely. We will most likely have three spinners playing including Jadeja who can bat a bit. Ashwin is also class with the bat so our tail is extremely strong. Anderson is a huge loss for England.
It will come down to first innings runs.. England need to get Root and Cook back in form..Think Bairstow and Stokes seem to be doing well..
ah forget all this negativity.
England caught us off guard last time. They need a spanking and they will get one.
Ahh I see two jokers are obsessed with me here..
Anyways, I don't have much confidence in our batting & England bat until NO:11. Our pitches also favor seamers and here again bowlers like Broad can make huge difference. Now coming to spin options, we have Ashwin & Jadeja but can't rely on them all da time. All I said earlier, India can win the series but England as a team right now is quite strong so we can't predict for sure that they will just roll over like 4-0
Ah if it isn't India's very owner answer to Dan Bilzerian...
How's the fantasy life going today?
Taken a dunk in your pool full of money and 'babes'?
Ha I see the likes of Finn get chosen over Ball once more.. total biasness selection.
