Blunder,
In other thread, you told that you support NZ. I thought you support Pakistan as you follow them very closely. If you don't mind which team you support most? I know for sure it's not India

I support either New Zealand or England. I grew up in NZ and then moved back. The reason I like Pakistan because I enjoyed watching them in 90s with 2Ws but that slowly fell away till the last few years under the captaincy of Misbah ul Haq.
A poor day from Indias perspective, the tone of which was set early with those shocking dropped catches early on. Root again proving his class with a splendid knock and Moeen also sitting proudly on 99 overnight. The rest of the wickets have to go early tomorrow and we must dig in for the rest of the day if this does happen. Pujara is key in the first innings imo.
Good days play for us, long way to go in this test match though. Need a good morning tomorrow.
Thanks Blunder for letting us know about your background.. Were u happy with pitches in New-Zealand series against India?
Kav,
England got upper hand now in this match. They can't complain about pitch nor toss. We were very gracious too with our butter fingers
As I said before, England is no pushover team and they have the capability to win the series like last time. Hope we pull our socks and play well tomorrow. I know few jokers here were getting pumped up for no reason
Pujara will never be a threat to anyone. he bats to slowly.. he may get a large score. takes him twice aslong anyone else.
Pujara taking his time and grinding England down is exactly what we need as the score is likely to be 420 and above! Get him early and you expose the rest of Indias already flawed batting line up.

I'm never happy with pitches but that's more of a generic issue I have with world cricket. For the NZ series it was what it was, you know what you're going to get in the subcontinent and you need to adapt and we didn't. We kept picking players like Guptill and Nicolls who are not good enough when we should have picked players like Henry and Raval but we'd still would've lost though
errrm nope England have 6 bowlers 7 if you include root. You wont grind them down. If England are batting at tea. India will not win.. and that's after only 5 sessions into the game,
Agree Blunder with your team selection issues but overall I think the pitches were good for pacers also this time. To my recollection, the first test at Kolkata was just like any New-Zealand pitch and the rest two matches were good too.
@Liver.. Our batting line-up is not like before. Except Pujara, Kohli, we don't have much faith in others. Therefore, Pujara becomes very vital for us after England scoring heavily in first innings.
I think Rahane is much better player than Pujara,.
Stokes and Bairstow taking India to the cleaners
139-2 in 30 overs. magnificent from England
Bairstow looked fantastic before he got out. I'd bat as long as possible as this pitch will only get worse.
Just got up to watch after lunch session - liking what I'm seeing....some great batting from Stokes and Co need to see another 100 added here
Agree the pitch 2 will only get worse...great for us hopefully
Poor attendance in the stadium...looks as sparse as Bangladesh
Right now, India look as good as Bangladesh...
Commentary team just alluding to the ticket prices and crowd now...something about a change of currency
They are going on about Ashwin record... he as like 220 wickets and 200 of them are india.. that must be the biggest contrast in the history of cricket.
India v England
