BS you were waving Palestinian flags because Rangers wave Israeli flags. I can't even be bothered explaining why Rangers fans wave Israeli flags suffice to say it's nuts and it's Loyalist.
+++++
Sorry but that is uneducated bollox, and your follow up post was just as bad
You have no clue of the history or the reasons
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His posts suggest he does, but he "can't even be bothered explaining" it.
I'd appreciate it if one of you explained it, or all I'm left with is grown men behaving like children.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The whole thing goes back to the hunger strikes of the late 70s early 80s in Norn Iron
The PLO came out in sympathy with the republicans and raised money for the cause. After that the republicans raised money and supported the PLO
They PLO and the provisional were in effect a partnership, supplying arms and monies to each other
Celtic are a republican club and they used to raised money for the provisional and the PLO - the supporters I mean here, not the club
So the connection with Palestine and the PLO goes back decades and is still there today
Some dafties in the Rangers support then favoured Israel in the belief that the opposite of what Celtic fans do must be good
But to suggest that the celtic fans started supporting Palestine in retaliation to Rangers fans supporting Israel is nonsensical and the opposite is true
It is also nonsensical to say that Israel flags got flown at Ibrox so Celtic fans flew Palestinian flags. I have been going to Ibrox for 30 years and have never saw one Israeli flag (although no doubt some individuals did fly the odd flag)
That is the historical truth of the matter
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There is no historical truth. Google Israeli flag Ibrox. You'll find plenty. I am absolutely correct about the link between Loyalism and the Israeli flag. It did appear alongside all the other flags and emblems in Loyalist estates in Ireland. Exactly how the feck it got to Ibrox who knows for certain but it did.
Let me be clear - I am a Catholic and I've got plenty of personal reasons to hate Rangers. However I worked in Glasgow and got friendly with some very decent guys who support Rangers - I nearly even made it to Ibrox but the dates didn't line up. Equally I have been to a few Celtic games and the Irish Republicanism frankly makes me want to puke. Believe me you wouldn't be so keen on it if you'd ever experienced it up close and for real.
Glasgow is a great City. You just need to get rid of the sectarian crap.

Surprise, surprise, I would never have guessed
I don't need to google anything but perhaps you do because to suggest Celtic fans only wave Palestine flags because rangers fans waved Israeli fans is 100% inaccurate as I have explained
----------------------------------------------------------------------
When I was 14 I was beaten senseless by a group of Rangers supporters who accused me of defacing some Rangers 1690 graffiti they had freshly painted. To teach me a lesson they rubbed my face against the wall til I was covered in blue paint, then they kicked me unconscious. They were adults. So in the circumstances I think I do pretty well to put my resentments behind me.

You are in Belfast and you start defacing sectarian graffiti and wonder why you get slapped about
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I didn't deface anything. I was just the first Catholic they could find.
Read my posts - I don't support Celtic, and I don't hate Rangers. I just find the whole ugly sectarian thing that goes on there utterly depressing.

Not being funny, and forgive my ignorance (perhaps) - but does everyone wear a badge up there declaring which branch of the church they belong to?

School uniforms, football shirts, not known in the area or indeed known to be from a different area.
It's like something from the dark ages, it really is.
They probably still burn witches too.
What else would you do with a witch other than burn her?

They grab hold of you and it's 20 questions starting with what's your name followed by what school do you go to. Generally by question three or four your fate is sealed. For Catholic thugs and psyco's a favourite test is to get the victim to say the Hail Mary (a Catholic prayer). I was subject to this and after I'd gabbled it all out my interrogator - who had a hatchet - turned to his friend and asked - 'was that tight?'.

My original point about Celtic fans waiving Palestinian flags was that Fifa viewed it as a political symbol. They also view the poppy as a political symbol. I think both are withing the definition of a political symbol.
The source and meaning of the political symbol is irrelevant because different people see different political symbols as standing for different things.
If Fifa start looking at the rationale and meaning behind the political symbol before they decide which political symbols to allow or ban, then they are effectively endorsing certain political symbols that they allow, which I think is wrong for a sporting body.
The only solution is to either allow all political symbols, or ban all political symbols, good or bad. I think that by banning all political symbols they picked the best course of action and my point was that it's good to see that the rule is being applied consistently, even if doing so is controversial.

If England want to remember the horrors of events on a French field, they should wear the Euro 2016 strip.
