Ward masterclass and an easy UD.
Ward for all his class also has a good chin. I can't see Kov landing enough punches which will rock Ward. I expect a easy UD win too.
O.M.EFFIN.G! This is a bona fide megafight.
I think Ward will do it, gonna go for a UD. Still there are some many ways you could break this down, and Krusher really is THAT good. This will have to be the best Ward we've seen.
Can't wait

yup he has at very least a decent chin, better than that though is that he if he does get hurt he remains so calm and controlled that it doesnt affect him and he can nullify or spoil to get over any buzz. It really is hard to see a Kov win unless Ward cant handle the power. I think he can or at very least control the distance and spoil to get thro or past his power.
I'm going with Kovalev
He can take Wards best shots without flinching. He'll walk him down win in the 9th\10th or 11th.

I take a lot from the Hopkins fight ... I think Ward is just as crafty as Hopkins, but will be stronger, quicker and more skilled. Kov wasnt able to stop B-Hop then again when you have the power Kov has you never know.
I aint gonna say your wrong no way!
such a difficult one to predict, logic says ward moves around enough to eek out a split decision but kovalev has the massive equaliser, I actually think it may be a really boring fight with ward doing just enough for a decision win and kovalev not being able to land enough
hoping for a kov win by ko though

Yeah I agree that if Ward is to win it will be a very bit--start sorta fight with a lot of spoiling. If Kov is to win the fight it will be a lot more pleasing on the eye and action packed.... Just cos Im picking Ward to win doesnt really mean I want him to..... Its difficult tho .... Kov style is excellent to watch but Wards style is one of a kind .... He is stupidly skilled and you dont see very many fighters with his level of ability too often.
Ward may be slick but he will get caught..no way is he playing Kov for 12 rounds and not getting some serious shots.
I dont see Ward winning by KO..so its either 12 rounds, or Kov to win.

I think heart will win this one

I'm just glad we're getting a super fight like this one in an era where we sadly don't normally see two of the very best fighters square off against each other in their primes.
Nearly everyone here is going with Ward so I'll go with Kovalev, with his natural size advantage (if only slight) and 84% KO rate I think there's every chance he'll drop and possibly KO Ward in the mid to late rounds.
Ward has the skills to beat Kov, but with Wards inactivity for me there is a question mark how he will cope physically with a hard 12 round fight.

I think this is what makes it fascinating, Ward's inactivity means that someone in Kov's class might just come as a hell of a wake-up. But equally, Kov's never faced anyone of Ward's class. This is the type of fight which builds legacies.
There seems to be an accepted view that Ward outclasses him for 12 rounds and scores a comfortable win. I'd be very surprised if that happens. Perhaps some slightly underrate Kov? He's too good a fighter not to have his moments in the fight IMO. Ward will probably control the majority so the question for me is how many of those 'moments' Kov has and whether he can make them count.
Personally I think Ward has the chin to ride out the tough moments and wins on the cards. Don't think it'll be a wide decision though.
I do love the light heavies. Basically these guys are my size and weight (if I cut out a few beers and takeaways) but I'd be knocked out cold if I even thought they were going to hit me!
I think Ward will spoil his way to a ud. Might have changed my mine on this one from before though.
I just hope its a good fight.
The buildup to the FMJ v Paq fight was huge, both with contrasting styles. Only to end up being a fairly boring fight.
The styles for this fight are similar in that we have a slick evasive fighter in Ward, and a "brawler" in Kov.
I'm hoping there are some decent exchanges

Im just not a fan of that style. Hit and run. I do prefer GGG's style or Pacquiao's style.
