Kovalev won the fight. Any that isn't bias and knows boxing knows Kovalev won the fight.

Perhaps the Kovalev fans need to accept that he may have been able to steamroller lesser fighters but Ward is a class apart; which he proved on the night.

Not everyone who thinks that Kovalev won is a Kovalev fan. I'm certainly not. This really hasn't got anything to do with who you support. It's about the judges calling fights properly.

Maybe there needs to be an overhaul in the way that fights are scored because the current model doesn't work well enough and Compubox is nothing more than two guys ringside tapping a button, which is equally fallible.

I personally can't stand him but I scored the fight for him, in what was a razor close fight.

How anyone can claim there was a robbery is beyond me.. there was no clear winner. If you think that was a robbery then you don't watch a lot of boxing, or you don't know what to look for.

For the final time it was a close fight, very close and I can honestly see the arguement for maybe Kov getting a decision or a draw... THAT is being objective coming on here and blatantly saying it was a total robbery is not understanding the sport or the fight are are being obtuse. saying Kov was robbed or it was a shutout is just wrong or a WUM

Looking like Ward might duck the rematch.

I had kov winning by 2 rounds but I didn't think it was a "robbing" all but 2 rounds were close and hard to score however It looks like ward has been given every/most "close" rounds which is why it's not a robbing!

It's a 10 point system and this is why it's hard to judge

Bradley provodnikov was a prime example of how 10 point system doesn't work

Similar to when Pacquaio beat Bradley in the first fight.

Well I've never said it was a robbery. The fight was a reasonably close one apart from Ward getting knocked on his backside. Two very good fighters going head to head. Kovalev still clearly won the fight though and no way did Ward win the seven rounds required to stop Kovalev winning the fight.

Kov didn't clearly win the fight, that's why there's such a difference of opinion with people. You can have it either way imo (I had Ward by 1) can't wait for the rematch but wish people would stop shouting 'robbery' it just looks daft

There were some close ones but there were enough early on which Kov won clearly, include a 10-8 in that and it is hard to come up with a Ward victory.

Just for the sake of arguements sake here is the official compubox round by round stats of the fight. This is only a reference to the fight it by no means tells the whole story but defo highlights somethings make of it what you will....Except you D4, you can just spin it to suit your agenda regardless of how contradictory it may make your previous points......

It shows that in total Kov landed 10 more punches than Ward in the whole fight however landed 13 more punches in round 2 alone.....It shows far more accurate and effective work in terms of total punches thrown.

The actual punches landed prove it. It is all recorded for everyone to see.

Shocking to hear the commentators say a Floyd punch landed when the video evidence clearly says something different. And shocking for them to ignore all Pacquiao's scoring blows, and praise Floyd's cheating.

Round 10 of Kov Ward is a stinker for the judges. Kov takes the round easily, but somehow all the judges give it to Ward.

you just look up the "punches landed" stat and that tells you the winner?

Not the stats, but watching the actual punches landing.

Because Pacquiao through in flurries, most people missed his landed punches. And just because Floyd shakes his head doesn't mean the punches didn't land. Seemed to fool the casuals though.
