Good job Leicester got drawn against these pub sides from Belgium and Denmark or their season would be a catastrophe
Stale comment was right players are shįt
We look at Leicester and they're an inspiration for all clubs that used to think the Prem was a closed shop.
Ex Wolves players who are still in the Prem, like Vokes and Ward etc., are also a reflection that we have brought some top players through the system. Even Afobe, who stats show has had fewer minutes on the pitch, is where we aspire to be.
Bloody hell, Pubenhagen smashed that Brugge side 4-0!!!!
Spurs doing the prem proud and looking like being eliminated
Least they have the league to challenge for.
No point in being envious of ex players who have gone on to do well for club and country, (that can only eat you up, as we have seen).
I'd also suggest that most Wolves fans would have loved the fairy-tale rise of Leicester to have been something our own club had achieved!
If anything, it showed that maybe the Prem isn't a closed-shop after all, and the success of Leicester has been an example to all clubs of what can be attained with the right balance of skill and hard work.
Wolfgang must be having a blast as Dortmund score an eighth and lead 8-4
Fair play to Leicester
At least two more meaningful games for the fans this season now.

Cheers. They've raised the bar, certainly.
Just reading comments from elsewhere including Twitter and it has left me a little perplexed?!?!
Now last season when I was saying Leicester were the poorest champions of all time I was told that they were definitely the real deal and as good as any champions and here to stay etc etc.
But now I am seeing all kinds of 'wow, Leicester, brilliant' etc etc.
Strikes me that it is a little(actually a lot) patronizing given they are league champions, I can't imagine anyone saying such things toward Chelsea, Utd, man city, arsenal or Liverpool?!?!

Oh I don't know.
The likes of Spurs and Arsenal are viewed as easy draws by European sides - not unlike an English club drawing Basel or Bruges. Spurs are out and Arsenal will go out in the first knockout stage.
You've been in the States too long mate, it's a wonderful story of the plucky underdog done good.

Don't get me wrong goldi, I enjoy the story and recognize it fully for what it is, I just find it a little strange coming from those that felt they were the real deal anyway.
Personally speaking though I much prefer how this seasons league is shaping up and it is setting up for a fantastic battle when compared to last season's damp squib.
I felt that what Leicester did last season would turn out to have the opposite effect to what many seemed to think and that the big boys would come back with a vengeance and that looks to be the case.
I actually think we will see the big boys dominate Europe again for a spell a few years from now and English footy to regain its crown that has looked decidedly shakey the last four or five years.
Chelsea and Man City will contest the title.
Arsenal and Liverpool will have their usual meltdowns when the weather turns chilly in January. Spurs and Man United will battle with Southampton to avoid finishing in a Eurovision spot.

Spurs blew it big time, strange side to figure out this season.
Gonna come down to the draw for arsenal and Leicester and I think there are probably a couple of sides Leicester could beat in the last 16 and probably 7 or 8 Arsenal can beat.
Man city clearly the pick of our sides in Europe this year and I fancy they could get to a semi final again.
You do have to feel sorry for cinci, he genuinely believes he was being clever by saying Leicester wouldn't do as well this season. And that he had the vision nobody else had. The man is a genius

Guess it depends how you describe the real deal. They had the best record over the season. But I take your point,. City, Chelsea, Arsenal, even Liverpool are playing better, more attractive football than Leicester did last season. However if a Burnley, Hull or Leicester again rose to the top, I would absolutely love it. Guess I'm not a purist, probably comes as a result of following Wolves for 45 years.

An anomaly I think I said and that was disputed by you and others.

Each to their own goldi
It just isn't for me, I want to see the best against the best, the best players against the best players and so on, hence I thought this year's euros were a disaster given the poor sides in the semi finals also.
Anyone here ever watch the series 'Deadwood'?
Really enjoying it.
Ebanks Landell notched a 93rd minute winner for Sheffield Utd tonight. Not only are their fans pressurising the club to buy him, they were tweeting tonight about building a statue of him outside Bramall Lane
EEL is a hell of a goalscoring defender but can he defend?
Looks like there will be an attendance of around 27,000 for the game on Saturday. Let's hope the team can produce a performance to persuade most of those to come back regularly. A good atmosphere is a big part of enjoying live football for me
We have a great average attendance on the match thread DJ (10 including Unc multiple accounts) and more entertainment than you could shake a stick at
No Bovril is available yet, but Wolfie would look great in a apron at halftime yes ?
