I was at ajax for huntelaars debut and I think he put 6 past some tiny little team from nowhere on his own. Ajax got 8 or 9 on the day. And I really don't think it was that freak a result.
You just need to look at the players who've come to the Prem after starring there. Kezman, Ryan babel, even dirk kuyt was lethal there.

You'd think a quality footballer could do the simplest of things like know when to make a pass, track his runners and hit the target from 20 yards more often than not.
The Dutch league has also been a platform for some of the finest talent in Europe, too. So it's a very dofficult one to judge.

I would say that Pogba's quality is still to be determined. Odd flashes of brilliance don't cut it for me.
He is certainly better than what Morgan has showed for us though, so I will give you that.

Absolutely. But limited to one or two clubs. Not too dissimilar from scotland really. Probably both in the second tier of European leagues.
Busby, lets be honest, your on a par with Robb and his hatred of LVG with Pogba.
Pogba could cure world famine, heal the sick and single handidly drag us to the quadruple and you'd find a reason to complain.
lets forget the fee, he didnt name it.
what he has done is made the most successful amount of passes for us and has created the most clear cut chances for us.

If Herrera had bombed in the DM/regista role, then I think there might have been more hope for him, in the medium term at least.
I still think Jose will look for a Carrick replacement, quite possibly this coming summer, but unless Carrick manages to play another season, I can only see Pogba, Herrera and - I hate to say it - Fellaini staying as CM options for 2017/18.
Schwein and Schneiderlin will be off.

I think people had reason to be happy when we signed him.
He was somebody who'd been performing well for about three years in the Premier League in an area we were rather light and short of defensive quality in and somebody who I thought was just approaching his peak years.
The transfer made sense in a lot of ways but unfortunately it just hasn't worked out. These things happen.
It seems him and Memphis could well be Everton bound come January.
Hope we sign another cm in January.

Rabiot I think might be exactly the kind of player we could with stepping in to do the same job Carrick and Herrera have been doing when stationed behind an advanced midfield two.
As I said, he seems to read the game well, holds position when he needs to, and makes a lot of interceptions, which is unusual for a young midfielder.
What do you guys think of Rabiot? He looks strong, aggressive, an intelligent player and a neat passer to me.

Not a true DM but he seems quite versatile and has quite a lot to his game from what I've seen.
He's been one of PSG's better players this season. Might be a difficult one to make happen.
It would be a funny one though if we got him and he turned out to be a success as he was at City's academy for a little while.
He's usually a more advanced midfielder when playing for PSG, though. Don't see the point in signing a young midfielder and trying to change his position. Not sure what holding midfielders are available that could come straight in, though.
I've said it before but I don't think José will replace Carrick like for like anyway.
I think he'll opt for a William Carvalho or Danilo Pereira type midfielder.

If Herrera had bombed in the DM/regista role, then I think there might have been more hope for him, in the medium term at least.
