Rangers pay bill shocker!! We pay, we're castigated, we don't pay we're castigated. The comments today from the lawyer are frankly ridiculous. His client last had any access to Rangers under the previous regime and his claim about solvency concerns are without evidence or merit.

Lets face it, short of signing Ronaldo and Messi you are never going to believe Rangers have any money.

The outstanding tax bill has been agreed, we are fighting the fine of 50%, would you not try to argue that if something similar happened to you presonally? We have the money, hence why it's been ringfenced.

The larger case has not been considered in the courts yet, let alone appealed which the loser is guaranteed to do.

I'd agree that Criag Whyte could have acted better over several things so far, the Goodwillie bidding farce and the financial payments have not been dealt with well. However I wonder how common the payment policies are in business?

Because it's Rangers there is far more scrutiny on everything we do as opposed to any other business. I would hope that over time Whyte will realise the unique nature of owning Rangers and act more in keeping with this.

So now it's a noble act to be taken to court to pay a bill of £35K and if it's from Murrays days then it's well overdue.
In no way was this down to ringfencing as Rangers went to great lengths to say that ringfencing didn't affect their financial operations as it was a relatively small amount.
As for objecting to the fine, well & good but pay the outstanding tax, that's no longer in dispute.

Whyte's going to take you under I think.

---oo---

Not exactly.

You pay on time then nobody bats an eyelid.

You pay late then an eyebrow is raised.

You end up paying more because you were taken to court; certainly worth a few coughs and splutters.

Especially in the current climate.

why are they and you worried about us being solvent? Surely INSOLVENCY is the worrying factor??
