Alonso went "through" Bellerin to get to the ball. He lead with his elbows and knocked him unconscious in the process.
It wasn't intentional (I hope) but it was reckless endangerment and should have resulted in a yellow card and a freekick to Arsenal.
I hope Bellerin can recover fully and not be left with any psychological traumas.
Definite foul. Surprised how lax the laws are with reckless challenges when the ball is in the air.
As I said in another post... if it had occurred on open field, the ref would've stopped the game definitely.
I don't think it was a foul, but a stoppage in play warranted.
It was a fair challenge, It was a coming together. And unfortunately for Arsenal the refs hand was forced cos the Goal was the stoppage in play.
I believe, If there was another phase of play the ref would've blown to see to bellerin.
Depends on your allegiance I think.
Looks a foul, but if that is given as a free kick when an Arsenal player scores I would be a bit miffed.
It's not as cut n dry as some think.
Don't know what the current laws say about it, but for me that sort of thing shouldn't be a foul.
Both players jump in the same manner with arms up in the air to aid their leap, but Bellerin's was just far weaker and lost the battle.
If that's a foul, don't really know where you'd draw the line in terms of aerial battling.

Henry says it wasn't a foul and we know where his allegiance is. Shearer says no foul. Has anyone heard a TV pundit say it was a foul?
Arsenal fans are always gonna say it's a foul. Chelsea fans are always gonna say it's not. And almost every pundit and neutral seems to agree with us Chelsea supporters. Funny that.

========
No. The natural way to jump is to raise your arms and "push" down. As Bellerin did - his arms were down when he gets to his highest position.
Alonso leads with his arm, to protect himself and also stop his opponent getting the ball. This is dangerous play, and a foul.
That is where you draw the line - you don't allow people to lead with their arms.
Arsenal fans are always gonna say it's a foul. Chelsea fans are always gonna say it's not

Well here's a west ham fan and it wasn't even close to a foul. Ridiculous from the OP

So blinkered.
I thought it was a foul, also given as a freekick anywhere else on the pitch

If it was wreckless by Alonsonthen it was reckless by Bellerin as both players did exactly the same thing.
Both players only had eyes on the ball, neither player could see the other, both players lifted up their arms to jump as per the laws of natural physics. Alonson had more height and that is why he caught Bellerin who jumped under him.
the idea that this was a yellow card is madness. I don't think it was a foul, but I understand why some do.
But if it is a foul, then by the same logic, every time two players go to head the ball and there is is a clash of heads then that is a foul too.
Neutral fan.
Foul.
No intent to harm.
Unnoticed though, Bellerín had blatantly shoved Costa on the initial cross, penalty in my opinion.

Love how Ronaldo leads with his arms everytime...
Thats how to head a ball fairly without endangering an opponent.
How did Bellerin do the same thing ffs
His arms were nowhere near Alonso or his face
Alonso had the momentum.
Momentum doesn't equal a foul just because you have a small player
Using Superman as an example seems fair.

No he didn't. He jumped fairly and doesn't lead with his arm.
Your opinion, some will agree with you, others won't pointless debating it any further, I won't change my mind and you won't change yours. We move on.
There was of course and entirely intentional elbow direct to the face of Hazard.
