Nothing surprising?

I t goes against everything you have claimed the last three or four years, we all know you are a genuine guy and wouldn't have been deliberately posting rubbish on the subject......would you?

Its ok, i jest, anyone with a brain could see what Ipswich were doing in actuality and i know you were just on the wind up

I've missed it.

Get the feeling he will walk away from football after leaving Ipswich in the summer, being left behind a little bit now.

This article is complete rubbish by the way. Wolves played well second half and deserved at least a draw against a team unbeaten in 6 games
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Deserved at least a draw...you talk utter rubbish at times.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perton - try putting on a sensible hat for once

Wolves had 57% possession, had 10 shots to Ipswich's 3 and we hit the woodwork twice.

So please explain to me why you think me saying we deseirved at least a draw is rubbish
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Like I've said several times on this thread and others Ipswich were terrible just like us and like I said the game was there for the taking. We played our best football when costa came on so why wait until 8 minutes from time to bring him on and not even bother with Cav or dicko. Playing for a draw when we could have easily won, that 2 points could be vital. Thats why.

Some would prefer to be back in the Prem, but a lot of time has passed.

I have no doubt we would have won that game had Lambert made a couple of substitutions around the 70 minute mark.

We all know stats dont mean a thing especially possession stats and wow we hit the woodwork twice. One state for you dj.....we didn't score that's the only important state.

Lambert would have gone if we had lost on Tuesday hence the negative tactics and being unwilling to go for the win in the latter stages by bringing on more attacking players

More concerned about clinging on to his job than winning a game which was there to be won.

Have said all along that the man is a fraud and nothing has proved otherwise.

He started laying blame on others and making excuses for his own potential failure from day one.

I have seen many like him in business and it can be spotted a mile away. Like in business, unfortunately many are taken in. By consistently repeating the same mantra he will gain enough allies amongst the weak and foolish to stay in a job that he shouldn't have

Lambert would not have gone if we had lost on Tuesday but I do think he would be in trouble if we don't win on Saturday

posted on 10/3/17

i called it a few games ago that this run of three matches are likely to decide his future. win on Saturday and I suspect we'll pick up slightly and he'll be here until the end of the season. 1 point from 9 and lose to the worst team in the league, and I think he will be sacked. I won't have a great deal of sympathy for him after the last few games where he has brought about his own problems with stupid team selections. but I do hope we thrash Rotherham and give the home crowd something to cheer about this weekend because it has been a pretty bleak season for the paying fans.

Having the worst home record in the division is a disgrace really and if we can't go some way to addressing that tomorrow then there is something fundamentally wrong. As amiga suggested in his article that record can't just be blamed on this manager or the last manager or on not liking who we pick at left back or central midfield it's a multitude of problems that are leading to us under performing as a club, and being much lower in the league than clubs that have much less wealth and much lower quality players than we have

posted on 10/3/17

spot on DJ

as you'll have read in other articles I can't understand how some people can be so short sighted as to think the blame for two years of underperforming rests with just one or two people. I still think some fans genuinely believe that if edwards, or stearman, or dicko were got rid of we'd all of a sudden become a promotion chasing side - despite the evidence that when those players have not been in the side we've been no better, and many of their supposed replacements are in fact worse players who we then have to let go to lower league sides for free.

as a STH, first and foremost I want to see good quality entertaining football. ignoring the third division season, which was fun but we should never have been down there, we've had one season of decent quality in four years. from the prem relegation season up to now our matches have been more often than not dour, depressing stuff. throwing away our prem status with a whimper, watching stale's revolution implode from lack of flexibility or ability, seeing KJ change from the fast passing style he started his championship run with, into the backs to the wall 8 men in defence hoofball we ended up at. and this season having two managers who both seem to spend all week in a different time zone from their players and then pick the team out of a hat.

as much as I like him, and think he is a very good professional, when a player like dave edwards becomes a bit of a cult hero (amongst half of the fans at least) you know it's been a bad decade.

must win for PL, unless he fancies another holiday until the summer.

I didn't see the ipswich or reading games so am not sure how we played there but I don't see how anyone could say we played well v blouse, wigan, or burton.

my team would be:

ikeme
coady batth stearman doc
costa price saiss (edwards) cav
dicko bod

not convinced by the centre mid pair but I don't think we have two great ones at the club to choose from. edwards always best at the front of a three man mid, but I want us to try 442 v rotherham and fecking get into them!

Cinci, is Great Gray Owl the species name? Or have you accepted the American wrong spelling dictionary's version of grey?

GB, I like your team but can't find it in me to drop Edwards, even allowing for his recent poor run. I would include Dangerous and leave out either Cav or Bod, probably Cav

posted on 10/3/17

The thing with Edwards is that he is doing a good job for us and we don't have anyone that is doing that job better. He was one of the best players again at Ipswich and to me has played well in a higher proportion of his starts this season than virtually every player at the club. The fact he has won more tackles than any player in the division is one thing, the fact that he is the only midfield player at the club that regularly offers a goal threat in the opponents area is another. Until we find someone else to offer that kind of support to the striker then I wouldn't advocate starting without him. And although I can see the argument for starting both Dicko and Bodvarsson I am not convinced they will make a good pair, although both would be good alongside a goalscorer.

I watched Barca the other night score 6 against a very good team, and did they do that because they had a host of creative players making chances for their lone centre forward? No it was because Messi, Neymar, Rakitic and Roberto were all getting in to the penalty area with Suarez to give the PSG defence so many avenues to cover. With Wolves we can have all the creative players you want, but if only one player is going into the opponents penalty area we wont score many.

The clown is continuing to state that we are playing well.

Repeating a lie doesn't make it the truth - only in the minds of the foolish.

I find his stream of bull hugely insulting to the club and fans.

as I say DJ, I didn't see the ipswich game so I was basing my team on the last few matches I have seen where DE looked knackered. due a rest even if it is just a couple of games coming on as sub. however I do remain convinced he is the best option we have in CM when fully fit, so if he looked sharp v Ipswich I would probably play him rather than saiss.

I am not convinced bod and dicko are a good pairing but I do think we should go 442 v Rotherham to at least get an extra man in the box. most weeks when we attack the only player trying to get into the area is edwards, as bod looks more comfortable running the channels and providing. I guess we could try wilson although I am a bit more cautious about how good our young players really are and would prefer to see him coming on as sub for a few games. the other big thing about going 442 is it will give the crowd a lift and get some positive atmosphere going right from kick off which might just lift the team's performance.

posted on 10/3/17

for the same reason I would pick cav and costa and tell them to run at the full backs every time they get the ball. nothing fancy or elaborate, just put pace in down the wings and tell dicko and bod if they aren't in the box for 95% of all the crosses that get put in then they will lose their wage for the week
