You seen how many police there are outside Westminster? I'm genuinely surprised the bloke who doesn't sound like any kind of terrorist specialist got that far. They would have seen him driving down the bridge for a few minutes before he reached Westminster.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What are you on about, have you seen the bridge? no blockages or anything to the pavement, clearly just mount the pavement hit people back on the road drove round the corner drove through the gates, got confronted stabbed a police officer who's colleagues shot the attacker who is injured.
drove/smashed through the fence in his 4x4 and was confronted right away, dont see how the police are supposed to stop him before that it probably too seconds to hit people on the bridge then drive through the fence round the corner.
"Apparently the police reacted quick according to eye wtiness"
Quick enough to run over a bunch of people, ram his car into a blockade, get out his car and get into the old palace yard and stab a police officer?

Is the guy dead or not? At first he was shot dead and now he's apparently just injured.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not dead apparently. Not yet anyway.
If it's a terrorist attack why would they choose such a highly protected area of London? Theres police everywhere near HOP for obvious reasons.

what do you expect them to do? how can they spot it and stop it? the attack only starts when he mounts the pavement on the bridge ffs.

It should be yet reports say he got into the old palace yard AFTER mowing down a bunch of people. For what should be one of the most highly guarded buildings on the planet I'm shocked he got so far.

Because it makes the news in a bigger way... There will always be tv cameras, reporters etc around there. And all those MPs are now holed up and will be scared of further attacks.
Terrorism is more than just about the bodycount.
"the attack only starts when he mounts the pavement on the bridge ffs."
And after that he got into the old palace and then stabbed a policeman. I'd expect them to disable or stop the man the second he got out the car having already run over a bunch of people. This isn't some house in suburbia, this should be one of the most highly guarded buildings on the planet.

Seems plausible to me. It sounds like a lot but I can imagine all that happening in a short space of time.
Let's wait for the official news though.

I imagine getting away from the crime is the least of the guy's worries aswell. Clearly psychotic/attention seeking
how long would it take him to get from the bridge to the old palace? how could guards at the palace know about the attack so quickly?
Clearly psychotic/attention seeking.

No, I expect the police to be prepared and fully aware of what has just happened on Westminster Bridge. Also the area that he managed to get into his highly guarded, I've walked past it many times. He didn't sneak into the yard, yet still got out and managed to stab a policeman.
Tu Meke is right that we should wait and see for official word but I am still shocked that someone can get out of a car and stab someone without being shot down as soon as the car hit the barricade.
Really hope the victims and policeman make a full recovery.

Not long at all.
There would have been chaos at the scene as well, people running in all directions.
Police cannot just take shots in that situation.
even if he broke into the palace are police allowed to shoot on sight?
"how could guards at the palace know about the attack so quickly?"
Because if you've ever been there you would see a whole load of armed police waiting outside. It's one of the most guarded buildings in the country.
