how long would it take him to get from the bridge to the old palace? how could guards at the palace know about the attack so quickly?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Not long at all.
There would have been chaos at the scene as well, people running in all directions.
Police cannot just take shots in that situation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
this makes sense
We are talking about something would take about 1 minute from mounting the pavement to getting shot.

imagine police opening fire on a car because it accidentally crashed through the palace fence one time.

Being treated as Terrorism until its known fully the cause of the attack.
Wouldn't bet against another political nut, a warped Brexiter/Remainer.
1 minute is a pretty long time in what could have been a far greater terrorist attack. Maybe I've watched too many Bourne films but such a threat should be taken down asap.
Westminster Bridge like the whole of central London is not a quite road, it's very busy and any car driving down it would have taken a few minutes.
Wasn't it one year ago today when that terror incident caused by ISIS happened in Belgium as well?

Surely it is worth keeping the perpetuator alive to get information than to shoot him dead

Then put him down afterwards.

Good point! I still think it sounds slow to let him out of the car and allowed to stab someone. Guess we'll wait and hear exactly what happened.
I wouldn't be surprised if it's Anjum Choudary
omg that picture of the guy at bottom of steps his leg is surely broken. hope they all survive, good luck to to medical services do us proud, so sad.
Can we also be thankful that the donkey didn't have a bomb on him as well, or a gun.

That's my point! There are concrete blocks surrounding the whole building with loads of guard and armed police.

Yes, I expected Dutch to be there sorting that sh-t out.
Authorities are obviously activating pre planned response plans to extol this kind of attack in this area. Seems very organised.
