The SNP are fvked.
Disgraced, warring, and out of power by the early 2020’s.
Salmond / Sturgeon have purged any Left Wing folk but they will come
back.
They have already announced probable cuts to the Concession Travel
scheme for OAP’s.
They will have to introduce Student Tuition fees in the next 3 years.
They will end universal free care homes for the elderly by 2022.
So you want me to predict what the names of the political parties will be in an independant Scotland? Will the SNP even be around? Would they be called the SNP (that would be weird)? If I was to guess I could see them splintering into two parties, the traditional pro business centre right SNP and the new members who only joined because they believed the lie about the SNP being left wing.
I think it will be whichever party emerges with a soft socialist approach.

you could be right
But who knows
Timmy Sheridan and the Socialist swinging Ned's Party
McCann has a very valid point. Independence is not synonymous with one party, I would hold this view akin with SF here in Ireland, just because I want a united Ireland does not make me a card carrier for one political party
I actually imagine the greens becoming a big player in a independent Scotland!
They will of course then blame the now dead Labour Party.
Who introduced all of these Social Justice laws.

Unless my party can suddenly stop arguing among ourselves and appeal to the masses, or a huge global catastrophe encourages more folk to go towards the greens (sadly a huge global catastrophe is more likely than the SSP getting it's act together ) then SNP are guaranteed to be in power forever.
Too many folk younger than you and I will never trust a scottish branch of a Westminster party, that won't significantly change until the generation younger than me die off
As much as people hate the SNP they have done so much to protect us from Westminster, we wouldn't have a Scottish Parliament without them!! They are the key to our independence!
And once they have we have used them to open it, we will change the locks!
GTB< Independence is not synonymous with one party>
Usually true.
Trust me mate – it is in Scotland in 2017.
I actually imagine the greens becoming a big player in a independent Scotland!

Total bollox mate.
mccan it was Labour who passed legislation for a Scottish Parliament.
And abolished the Bridge Tolls.
And brought in free care homes for the elderly.
And abolished Student Tuition Fees.
And gave zero Concession fares to OAP’s.
And free prescriptions for the poor and elderly.
The SNP have done sweet fvk all mate.
Unfortunately lotta folk I talk to claim the SNP carried out these.
Up there with Trump Fake News.
And free prescriptions for the poor and elderly.

If you remember, we proposed it and Labour voted it down.
But it generated so much publicity at the time that there was a public outcry to have it reintroduced.
<The SNP have done sweet fvk all mate.>
That’s actually a lie.
They have imposed the Council Tax Freeze on Scotland for ten years.
The same one that was invented by Margaret Thatcher.
And it has strangled services for young and needy folk to the point of
suffocation.
I’ll give you that one Mick.
I’m auld and have some wisdom that comes from that.
But I still am utterly baffled by this amazing conjuring trick.
SNP have been carrying out Tory policies for a decade.
Swinney’s last 3 Budgets shadowed George Osborne’s excactly.
Screwing public services and the less well off and bowing and scraping
to the likes of Murdoch and Trump..
Yet the majority of Scots still seem to think they are wonderful.
Many think Labour’s reforms for the poor were carried out by the SNP.

Tax the rich that will solve it. It's not right that the more money you earn the less tax you pay as a percentage.

What a strange debate this has been. Good posters losing the plot all over the place. E.g.
Duke using the term Natzionalist
Quinny saying that "nigh on 40% voted out". Mate, across the UK nigh on 50% voted remain. I was one of them, but we live in a democracy and we are leaving the EU. The well over 60% in Scotland can and should press hard to right the wrong that is being done.
