Here hoping he has a full recovery.
Actually he is that sort of player. Has a bit of form for reckless tackles. Might be a good lad but very careless
wishing coleman the best, its ridiculous that refs still judge weather or not to give a card based on the damage it does to a player, if bales tackle had broken someone's leg he would have been off
He will be back and stronger for it......he has the support of a great club behind him.
Had to remove him from FF....

Ouch!
Good luck to the fella for his recovery
Had to remove him from FF....

im sure he's heartbroken that he's let down so many ff players, ffs
The facts that so many have him in their FF sides show what a player he is
Yikes. Just seen the pics. Looks a bad one. Get well soon Seamus.

Ive said about Chelsea buying him on a few occasions..I rate him
Number one dog breed for biting cases= Labrador. Point being u don't need to be a pitbull to do damage. Taylor was reckless and u could say malicious in his intent. Either way, he needs to be punished strongly, I'm talking 10 game ban PLUS a months wages. Another mans livelyhood is hanging in the balance as a result of such play.
Shocking tackle get well soon Seamus
Has Roy Keane said anything about the tackle yet?
It was a poor tackle. However, I thought Bale's one was even worse.
Unfortunate for Coleman and I wish him a speedy recovery as I'm sure all my fellow Welsh fans will.

Hes probably destroyed a players career and left him with injuies that may affect him for the rest of his career and possibly life. A months wages is not enough. He should be made to pay him at least half a seasons wages as compensation, maybe more. If the PFA put a clause like this in all professional footballers membership it would give the players an incentive to stop making rash challenges like that.

It would stop players making challenges at all.
No they wouldn't, it would mean players were more carefully their tackle, thus increasing their decision making and tackling technique.

Careful tackles in the heat of the game? Most challenges that result in injury are not intentional, and many times the tackle is rather innocuous.
He's always been hindered by his price tag
That's why he never got the move to a big club. Price tag held him back
You see the scissor tackle in every game, Coleman was unlucky but its a contact sport, some folk want to sanitize the game out of existence.
Injuries will always happen and you have to be competitive.
I think the balance is about right.
It seems unfair that Coleman will be out for ages while Taylor will be playing next weekend, but unless you can prove someone deliberately intended to injure then I don't think you can be throwing long bans out.
It is a contact sport after all.
People need to stop letting emotion get the better of them. It was an awful challenge but players will sometimes mistime challenges and injuries like this will sometimes occur. It's a contact sport and this was a very unfortunate extreme repercussion of a badly judged challenge. I don't think Taylor should be condemned to hell for it.

When driving most people don't intend to have a crash or run someone over, yet a bit of incompetence can be fatal abc that person is prosecuted regardless of intention. Intention does not matter in my opinion. Incompetence and lack of control should be punished severely. Tackling does need to be made safer and many players go into tackles without control or regard for player safety. It needs to be done with skill, not eyes closed and tackle and hope.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Thought someone would use driving in cars as an analogy. While I agree that accidents in cars can be caused over the slightest bit of incompetence or negligence, it's still not quite the same thing as on a football field where two teams and two sets of players are competing against one another.
Driving is no comparison to a competitive football match.
