Fitting to reference a Manc band here:
"But it doesn't even matter because you don't like that band anymore, because they're not underground"
Fallowfield Hillbilly, Courteeners (another band whose first album was brilliant and now they make me feel nauseous).
There's a new system of a down album due out this year.
Their first album IMO is as good as any debut album. Hope they can capture the old magic.
Always been a big fan of David Freel's work
Wether it be with "Swell" or his latest band "Be my weapon"
Anyone who's not familiar with him should listen to some of his work

Listening to Alice in chains atm and really enjoying it.
I absolutely love hip hop, and it is analogous to rock/punk in that there seems to be a myriad of choice from its past than that of recent years, however, I must say that I absolutely love Kanye; I think the man is a genius.
The only thing that bothers me is that is cavalier lifestyle (that I have no doubt is manufactured to an extent), for me killed his most recent effort from being an all time great in terms of production, like MBDTF, and instead left the bones of an album that I can listen to a couple of songs off of now and again, as opposed to all the time like his first few (except 808s).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What about the crossover albums? I always had a soft spot for those! Soundtracks to movies like Spawn (awful, awful movie, brilliant soundtrack), Judgement Night etc.
Or maybe Bodycount, Ice-T's band?
Senser were another band I loved in the 90's.

Brilliant movie with an even better soundtrack.
Ice T and the song Bodycount take me back to metal clubs in the early 2000s. Great fun.

well done for getting it- I wasn't sure it would come across like that, and make me look like a fat thumbed keyboard monkey.

To be honest I like most bands that people haven't heard of, I always recommend them to people I know won't bother listening to them.
It's just annoying if by some chance one of these unknown bands get some recognition and have a hit on the radio, or other people start liking them so I have to tell them they're sell outs and the old stuff is better.
I then have to find a new unknown band to tell people about.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Rival Sons, The Parlour Mob, both really good bands and in terms of the Rival Sons, one of the best live singers I have ever seen.
Black Stone Cherry are pretty good and Stone Temple Pilots are brilliant.
Yes how did I miss STP, interstate love song and Vaseline
I was reading the comments on an AIC album and there seemed to be a lot of debate over who was better out of AIC, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana and Pantera

Hmmmm tough call between Pantera and AIC. But I think I'd have to go with AIC, Pantera lost my interest after Far Beyond Driven. And of course Phil Anselmo is a mahhosive Naaazi, which taints the band more than a little
