And he scores a penalty for the u21's
Saiss playing as a left sided CB against Mali.
The great International star, Edwards, on the bench.
Feels a bit like Edwards and Eddie the eagle have striking similarities.

not sure why people would laugh at a guy who has been part of a match day squad for his country and picked up his 41st cap, albeit as a 5 minute sub appearance, in a winning game that has probably seen his nation qualify for the world cup? I don't think any wolves fan could be surprised that our ex player was behind gareth bale, aaron ramsay or joe allen as a midfield option.
can only assume that some of our fans achievements in life are fecking amazing because surely it can't just be as joked in a previous post that they're a bunch of snide s?

I think we discovered a little bit more about Wolfy with his post to me just before the Brentford match...

"Where's our international, first on the team sheet, wizard from Wales, Butey?"
I had to explain that he'd earlier that week been transferred to Reading.
I find it quite comical actually that there is Dave Edwards sitting on the bench ready to give his all for is country if required but secure in the knowledge that he will be returning to his club to continue his domestic career. He has a contented home life with a wife and three lovely children, he has the satisfaction of knowing that he is helping the not-so-fortunate with all the charity work he does and he is loved and admired by all those who know him personally.
Yet there is still a small minority who just cannot resist taking a swipe at him whenever they can.

and at a football ground. amazed sometimes at the crap that people can come out with.
A solace at a football ground is hearing the views of the 99% of supporters who don't use forums, and know therefore that this drivel is just the view of a small minority

Are they generally as out of touch as you have been over the past year?
No doubt we shall get to read all about Edwards on this forum more than we will read about our own players exploits over the coming months.
Karl Henry who was released by QPR at the end of last season and is out of contract, is now training with Albion
^
a great shame that he or us after his contribution to wolves dont feel that the natural place for him is compton.
No thanks!
Henry, Ward, Foley, Jarvis, Kightly, McDonald, Hennesey, Ebanks-Blake and Berra have all made a contribution in the past but I wouldn't want any of them back. This is the new era. New thinking, new style. The old guard simply would not fit into the current squad (with the exception of Sako)
Don't want Karl back, especially at 34, but he could have chosen a better place to go
I agree Gem, this is the new era. That's why I posted the tongue in cheek remark about one of our ex-players. If nothing else, it was to quell the bollox that some on here spout off about how we could have let an International player leave the club.
He did an average job for us and scored a few goals last season, but at best he's a decent Championship player and I wish him well at his new club.
no question of him coming here as a player gem. we're talking of him training to keep fit.

As you use this forum (and maybe others), I guess you're the 1% who post drivel on here. I personally don't use other forums or any other kind of social media, but I'm sure your figure of 99% is exaggerated, to say the least.
However, feel free to keep posting 'drivel'.
