how about bona, cav, jota and bright
5 league games, 2 cup games
4 goals
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How about 10 points from 15, 2 points a game and two cup wins?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How about 1 goal and 1 point from the last 6
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How about 41 games to go?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Wolfgang has forced you into the future, where hope lies but no actual facts or stats yet exist.

Agreed. That was my attitude when Mick was sacked. So many games still to play. You can't judge by the previous matches. We saw that subsequently with Leicester and Villa, who were in far worse situations and stayed up.
History now, but the subsequent years of turmoil could have been avoided.
We now have owners, and a management team that is exciting, and I feel the most optimistic since the days we last won this division.
Strange comparison Bute, three wins in six months compared to two points a game?!?

Exactly. You don't know how things will pan out. I can't for a minute think that things could have been any worse had Mick been kept on. Stale and Division 3 wouldn't have occurred.
But it's history. Had we not fallen from grace, then we might not have been an attractive proposition to our new owners. I'm excited for the future.
Had we stayed in the Prem then no doubt SM & MM would still be here, and Fosun would still be a business we'd never heard of.
No..... im glad we fecked him off, I do thank and wish him well though !
And now with Dave and Misso gone, we can finally look to the future

Interesting from E & S especially the last paragraph!
Wolves came close to signing Italy international striker Stefano Okaka on transfer deadline day, the Express & Star can reveal.
A late deal is believed to have been in place to loan the Watford man, with an option to buy. But the player decided against dropping to the Championship and wanted to stay at Vicarage Road and fight for his place.
Wolves turned to Okaka after a big-money £10million deal for PSV forward Jurgen Locadia collapsed. It's understood that PSV head coach Phillip Cocu was opposed to selling the player unless a suitable replacement was found.
And with Wolves then unwilling to pay the extra cash the Dutch club then asked for, the move fell through even though the 23-year-old was already undergoing a medical in anticipation of an agreement being reached.
Sources suggest Wolves also enquired about long-time target Chris Martin, of Derby County, as well as ambitiously bidding to loan Chelsea forward Loic Remy, who instead moved to La Liga side Las Palmas, but 28-year-old former Roma and Sampdoria man Okaka was the one they came closest to.
Okaka joined Watford from Anderlecht a year ago in a deal said to be worth £10m, signing a five-year contract.
He scored five goals in 20 appearances last season, of which 11 were starts, and then netted in last month's opening-day 3-3 draw against Liverpool having started that game.
But Okaka hasn't featured since after the arrival of ex-Wolves youngster Andre Gray from Burnley, with Hornets boss Marco Silva preferring him and Richarlison in his first XI and then Isaac Success and Troy Deeney on the bench.
The lack of a striker deal meant that Michal Zyro and Donovan Wilson were unable to go out on loan, with the latter lined up to move to League Two side Port Vale.
Zyro could now get an opportunity to make his mark in Nuno Espirito Santo's first team squad.
Wolves had hoped to move out midfielder Prince Oniangue, who frozen out of Nuno's plans, but no viable option came in during the latter stages of the window.
The one player Wolves did sign on deadline day was Villarreal midfielder Alfred N'Diaye on loan.
It's believed Wolves have an option to buy N'Diaye at the end of the season – and also have options to buy their other four loan players; Diogo Jota, Willy Boly, Ruben Vinagre and Leo Bonatini.
As for Loic Remy, given the choice between moving to Gran Canaria (Las Palmas) or Wolverhampton I think I know which I'd choose!
Arguineguin in Gran Canaria is where little wizard David Silva is from!

Not sure that that's so contentious, try this:
Mick takes Ipswich to the Premiership via the play-offs.
Did we let Edwards go too cheaply, considering his international pedigree and experience?
I hope we had a sell-on clause.

Too cheaply? I think we robbed them to be honest, Reading are a side that like to play on the front foot but have signed a guy that only works in a side that doesn't want the ball.
With regards to us failing to sign a striker if we fail to gain promotion this season who will be responsible, will it be Nuno the players or Jeff?
If it is Jeff will he be sacked!
Yeah......let's get Jeff sacked

Don't understand why some think it was a conscious decision not to sign a forward.
