Hopefully as I like him.

Would like to see him play more as CM. Playing next to a Wanyama, Dembele or Dier would suit him

I think MP will get the best out of him.
If we can get him at a decent price....

I'd hope Winks would return fitter, stronger and fighting for his place back. Maybe Lamela fit. Really, makes me feel like we don't need many new faces. Barkley would be like Dier; capable of covering various positions.

He's a bit brain dead Barkley.

I'd sign him.... defo the type of player who could benefit from playing for Poch.... I think we might need him given dips in form and trying to be competitive in 4 competitions next year

Winks impressed me. I just hope his injury hasn't set him back. Definitely better prospect than Onomah...whats Onomah's best position it seemed he was a Poch favourite.

Lesniak also coming through ranks

Well a lot. Good with space in front of him but really feel he's like an English sissoko.

Thought I saw more quality from Lesniak's 10 minute cameo than what I seen of Onaamama

He is skillful, no doubt about but his decision making is awful. Shouldn't never been allowed to dictate a game.

A straight swap for Sissoko would be good for both

All the youth watchers etc believe Lesniak was going to be released this summer.

Wonder if last night performance changes that

He is overrated. Koeman isn't exactly getting anything more out of him than Martinez was. Whether Poch can or not I don't know, but he himself needs to put in a shift and I don't know how committed he is to getting better. Would be better than Sissoko though.

Disagree about being overrated imo he was but it's swung the other way in last 18 months.

He's probably needs to move out of his comfort zone in Everton and I think he'd do very well for us.

I'd be very happy to have him

Welcome Barkley our new number 8

He might benefit from having to compete for a place, which he doesn't really have to do at Everton. There's no way he'd make our starting 11 in his present form.

I guess he'd be good back up. If Poch wants him I'm not going to argue, as I'm not exactly against it. I do hope we're at least looking at other possibilities.

As an alternative for Sissoko - all day long.

I'm just always so underwhelmed when I watch him. He has all the attributes but just not the football brain. Feel he'd be very frustrating for fans and team mates.

from what I have seen he doesnt work hard enough.

Eriksen has covered more ground than any other midfielder in the EPL. Barkley would be expected to work that hard but when whenever I see him play his efforts do not impress me. Decent player on his day, but his days are not frequent enough. For what they will be asking for him, very expensive cover!

His stats this season are 5 goals and 8 assists in 35 games. When you consider that Kevin Mirallas has 4 goals and 6 assists in 34 games and far less minutes, and nobody ever talks Mirallas up like a wonder kid, it doesn't exactly say that much for Barkley.

Barkley is a good player who has gone a bit stale at Everton. Has all the ingredients to be a top player and he would be a great signing for us.

However, a more critical signing for us is a versatile fast attacker who can play wide in an attacking three but also CF if needed.
We need some raw pace to break those lines and to stretch defences. We don't really have that.

We need to find our very own Rashford.

mmmmmmmm. we do just need to keep the first 15/16 players as priority imo. then add 3/4, Barkely shouldn't be starting for us, i cannot see how he'd fit in the starting XI, and i'm not sure he'd appreciate the bench time.
As a squad player i'd love him at Spurs but he'll cost too much for that, his progress under poch would depend on his attitude too.
