Maybe we can identify similarities between Janssen and Soldado more after his 2nd season with us..

1. Soldado had more seasons and starts than Janssen this was his first with us
2. Soldado missed several sitters, Janssen has missed none of significance
3. Soldado was brought as our main forward for 10 mill more
4. We are a miles better team now, than when Soldado was at the club
5. Janssen has impressed in the majority of his substitute appearances (where pretty much all of his game time has come)

the team being better thing was an indication that he simply has to be second/third fiddle due to the quality of our team..and if we signed someone new they'd still be 2nd choice striker at best. I am going to judge him more after his second season

We achieved 86 pts this season

We have a settled team that carried Sisokko and Janssen for the most part. We lost Kane for 8 matches, have lost Walker, Rose, Aldi and Vertonghen at key times and Lamela has barely featured

There is no reason why we can achieve the same or more points next season which will put us right in the mix. With regards to Wembley a couple wins and it will be a fortress for us! We're too good and now mentally strong to let that become an issue.

if you have a settled team that is clearly ideal but you obviously need other players to fill the squad, it is not easy for them to come into a settled team and instantly impress.

Metro keeps running with this idea that we have been lucky with injuries with absolutely no evidence. Perhaps an excuse he's invented in his head for why he were better than Liverpool

Lamela - missed practically the whole season
Rose - missed half the season
Vertonghen - out for a couple months
Kane - out for a few months
Alderweireld - out for a couple months
Dembele - various small injuries throughout the season as usual
Lloris - missed a handful of games
Walker - missed a handful of games
Winks - missed a couple months

The only important players we've managed to keep fit all season are Dier, Dele, Eriksen and Son

We are very lucky that Eriksen is very injury free. Key player

You have to remember that nobody lets the truth get in the way of a good argument on here. The handful of Chelsea clowns would have you believe that we all think we will win the CL next season.

No we expect Spurs to embarrass themselves in Europe, just as they did last season.

Seriously, for Spurs to win the league they will need a couple of signings. I think you should try for Mahrez or maybe Zaha, you need a player that do something special when needed.

I also think you will need to exit the CL early again.

Last 16 would be good, gain confidence and play as many games as we did last season.

By the way, i am not saying that you don't already have special players, i guess i mean you need an upgrade on Lamela and maybe increased squad depth in some areas.

I agree and if Leicester put Mahrez up for sale, he'd be the ideal replacement for Lamela!

Chelsea can win the league and compete in the CL because we have the squad and experience to do so.

Spurs can't because they have neither,,,they are not as good. And guess what, the stronger team has the advantage....now i know there are a lot of thick spurs fans about, but even you might be able to understand this point, if not let give me a little more detail around this point:

How is this for logic...

You are not good enough to challenge for the CL and the PL at the same time....

The only reason you were able to challenge a bit this season was because to were not good enough to get out of your CL group or proceed in the EL.

Logical enough for you?

One season out of five where you won the league and got past the last 16 - bare minimum for top seeds really.
