I'd say Lukaku fits Jose's style perfectly.

Make little sense signing Tiemoue Bakayoko considering we have Herrera and the fact Bakayoko isnt a deep lying CM ,which I believe United are looking for.

Not fussed about beating clubs to signings unless they turn out worth it in the future.
For Chelsea fans to suggest they didn't want Lukaku is weird considering the last minute desperate attempt to sign him by matching the fee.
Maybe you didn't want to pay a ridiculous agents fee and that is fair enough in my book but your club definitely wanted him.

I didn't want Bakayoko at first but I've gradually changed my mind. He has similar qualities to Matic but a lot younger and quicker. Has time to improve.

Never wanted Lukaku as I didn't want us playing hoof ball football. He'll suit United's style of football.

It doesn't make sense to me that Chelsea fans are glad that they wouldn't have had to pay that much for the player, with their history of spending big on players.

No question they would definitely rather have Lukaku than not and are upset he has gone to a rival club instead of them.

From what I've read over the last couple of weeks the majority of the Chelsea fans on here genuinely did not want to sign Lukaku and also there were a fair few United fans that also didn't want to sign him.

That's obviously changed now.

A downside to Lukaku signing for United is that Chelsea will no longer sell Matic to them, which is a shame as he's shiite.

I don't really get the daft banter around these things. Firstly, none of this impacts anyone's life but secondly, Chelsea nabbed both Robben and Essien from under our noses many years ago - two players who would have been perfect for us at the time.

Robben in particular was hard to take. Would have been a perfect replacement for Giggs.

Wasn't Fergie in for Hazard as well? (Albeit I think we refused the agent fees?).
