If Trippier was better than Walker then we would be selling Trippier to Man City for £50m.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly

Look it might work out fine and we buy another player with similar attributes to Walker and get an attacking player on top for the money but anyone who doesn't see it for what it is then they are deluded.

See levy already up to his tricks with that RB from Porto we want. Release clause of €22m and he's gone in at €13mJust pay the money and back the manager we players he wants ffs
----------------------------------------------------------------------
where have you seen that about Levy's bid? Links?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
.@OJogo claim that Tottenham have had a £13 million bid rejected by FC Porto for right-back Ricardo Pereira.

They are Portuguese media that owned by some people involved in Porto.

Selling club you are talking tripe.......In ten years we have sold two players we did not want to sell , Bale and Modric both of them went on strike to get a move and now we sell Walker who is a player MoPo wanted out of the squad or do you think MoPo dropped him at the end of the season for an April fools joke

Stop moaning and bleating this club is in the best position EVER

If trippier was a better player than walker, he would of played more last season or city would have bought him.

Trippier would have been cheaper than walker because he is walkers deputy both for Spurs and England (well third choice for Eng)

Trippier would of boosted city's home grown criteria which would of helped them massively as he is a product of their youth system.

Yet they signed walker.

I think we have had our pants pulled down good and proper 45 mill when there about to spend more on one good season of football Benjamin Mendy.

Strengthened a supposed rival for a fee that could of been higher.

there is absolute no positives to come out of this deal.

I reckon there's a strong correlation between those who think Trippier > Walker and those who were saying Wimmer > Vertonghen last year

Both of course are bad opinions

For crying out loud

Walker left because MoPo wanted him out , it doesn't matter who is better or worse MoPo made his choice and Levy backed his manager

Ah squid is here to try and tell everyone they are wrong like normal

Walker left because City are paying him a extra 100k and levy see £ signs.

Yes poch migh have wanted him out but it sure wasn't before the Man City talk happened

Also this "Stop moaning and bleating this club is in the best position EVER" is categorically wrong if you go ask the 60s team ( or sandy ).

Nothing worse than a deluded fan

SO Walker did not want to leave Spurs?

posted on 14/7/17

There was no problems with Walker up until $ity made it clear to him that they wanted him and would more than double his wages. From that point onwards (sometime around March) Walkers head had been turned, and it showed with some indifferent performances, which culminated in Poch dropping him. I think around this time walker made it clear to Spurs that he would like to leave, but would not force a move away. The decision was then made to cash in on a player whose head was now elsewhere. Whichever way you look at, his head was turned by money once £ity approached his agent.

HENGY WHY DO YU HATE LEVY

Maybe Trippier can have as good a season as Walker. I can certainly see him having more of a positive impact going forward.

It would be nice if we tried to sign someone now with a bit of pace seeing as we'll be losing some on that right side. Walker had to have been our quickest player?

That would be nice wouldn't it although on the big pitch at Wembley I'm not sure Trippier will have a good impact.

Walker was easily out fastest player.

So according to Hengy we can never sell a first eleven player, regardless of circumstances. If we do, we are a 'selling club'.

It's simply not feasible to keep every first team player year, after year, after year.

I'll say it again. I wish we were going for Vardy. Would add quality and pace to our team.

Hat has Levy done for Spurs , are you really serious

1....New stadium
2....New training ground
3....Appointing MoPo
4....The way the club has moved forward

I could go on and on but you wouldn't take any notice of what I said

-------

apart from 50 mill.

once more, why is everyone pretending like we sold the guy for 2 mill, or he walked away for free?

replace him with 25mill. if our scouts cannot find a RB or walker's quality on the continent then we need to replace them. and use the other 25mill on a young pacey up and coming attacking mid.

problem solved...

over to the professional scouts .................

no one seems to have addressed my comment earlier about walker's awful performances as soon as the question marks about his future came around.......

if his performance level was going to be lower than the standard he set himself, then 50mill plus is great business...

if walker does go, which he will, then that can be the only first team exit, unless the money is truly absurd, I mean absurd like some planks come in with 150mill for Kane, which is just ridiculous and wont happen.

Making up things again as I've not asked what has levy done for Spurs

In fact I'm just as annoyed at poch as I am at levy for this deal but hey probably tell me something else unrelated again.

No you can sell them of course but to sell them to a rival while at peak on a long contract with a inferior player taking his position makes us a selling club.

Same goes for Arsenal when the went through that period of selling everyone.

Of course you may think differently that's your choice

His performances were good until he got dropped for the big games ( semi final being one that cost us imo ).

£50m is a good offer but personally feel for how important he is I'm surprised levy didn't get a bit more.

Yep while I like that (we all remember the avb problems) I wonder if he'd treat someone like Kane or Dele similarly?

Ok Hengy, every team in the country is a selling club then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Okay tell me what first team important player Man City have sold?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Man City are the exception to the rule Hengy. Their players stay because they get obscene wages.
They have ridiculous money at their disposal.
