i dont think any other big club across europe was as badly hit by injuries/covid as Madrid this season, and that includes Liverpool

That's what you'd think, but then look at the five big leagues and all except Serie A were won with lower points totals this season; also, a lot of the sides that had been bossing their leagues recently have had an off-season.

The bigger sides generally have to play more midweek games, which might have been more detrimental than other years due to the lack of a proper preseason.

If after all this gas about Kroenke backing us this Summer, and us anticipating to have a 'big' transfer window, we have another like the last Summer, things are going to get toxic very quickly at the start of next season, especially if we don't get off to a good start.

Will be weird not being in a European competition for the first time since I've been born, but at least it provides a chance to cull the bloated squad I guess and focus on the league.

Let's see what happens. Not hopeful about our prospects, but you never know.

The story of the season next year will be Roma knocking Spurs out of the ECL on their way to winning it.

Tu Meke, I wouldn't say Chelsea have fluked it. They made the most of their draw - which every side that plays consistently enough in the CL is bound to have sooner or later - and looked comfortable all the way through.

Funny enough, to date every CL final that's been contested by two teams from the same country has been won by the side that had the most CL titles to their name before the game.
