Don't know much about Oyarzábal, except that Athletic tried to poach him a couple of years ago, obviously highly rated up there.

Apparently they were willing to pay his release clause, which is/was €40M, but he turned them down to stay at La Real.

Just reading they raised it to €50M, and €60M for special cases, 'special cases' thought to mean 'Athletic Club'.

Edin, the thing is they make more money than they can actually spend, which is why nowadays they only ever sell their better players for the fee stipulated on the buyout clause.

They're immensely popular locally and around the region, and they still have a fair deal of supporters around the country.
