i know who it is
i'll keep my mouth shut though
Nope.
Miquel Soler.
He was a lanky, long-legged full back, with a good burst of speed in his younger days.
Didn't remember this, but he assisted the winning goal in the 1989 Cup Winners' Cup final for Barça.

He also scored in the '88 UEFA Cup final for Espanyol, when they lost the final on penalties after winning the first leg 3-0.
that was a good guess who IOAG
Did you come up with that yourself or was it from another site?
No. Just me.
Saw him on the tellly earlier, he's a pundit for Spanish tv nowadays.
Good man. That was a facker of a question.
Soler played for the Mallorca side that lost the 1999 Cup Winners' Cup final 2-1 against Lazio.
Do you remember their goalscorer that day?
He was a striker who, like Soler, also played for Madrid, Barça, Espanyol and Zaragoza, but he didn't play for Atlético.
I can give you a few more clues if you like.

Yep. He was great that season, top scorer for Mallorca as they qualified for the CL for the first time ever.
He signed for Barça though and his career went downhill from there.
Still had one last hurrah when he re-signed for Zaragoza and won a Copa del Rey, scoring against us in the final.
La Liga's greatest days those were.

Asturian 2nd div derby on Spanish tv now, Oviedo - Sporting
Pitch half waterlogged too. Feisty affair too. Sporting just took the lead with a scrappy goal after about 17 rebounds.

Yep.
Oviedo just equalised. Beautiful goal, worked from their own half, same guy who started it finished it off.
Wud normally be rooting for Gijon cos that's where my grandma was from, but their ultra fans are hideous. Sang some disgusting racist chants the other day.
depor look like signing seedorf as their new manager
he has limited managerial experience ..,strange move
