Good pre season for Bayern, they haven’t won a game.
Kane.
He surely must've had some indication from City that they're committed to him.
Then again it wouldn't be the first time he's made a bad decision or been poorly advised.
Will leave a bitter taste for the Spurs fans. But if Kane is having to resort to this sort of thing - if it’s as it appears - it just further enhances Levy’s already bad reputation.
I’d always found the hero worshiping of Darth Levy a bit cringe, and whilst theirs some merit to how he conducts things, I think all it does it harm Spurs’ reputation as a second tier club and an attractive destination for players.
Yeah if you're a player who believes they have the potential to play at the highest level one day, you'd have to seriously think twice about joining Spurs with the way Levy operates, that or else you'd have to think carefully about the contract you agree to.
If it's true that Spurs do have a gentleman's agreement with Kane to leave this summer and they've gone back on it, it's a pretty $hitty thing to do and even though I don't agree with players going on strike to force a move, I'd have more sympathy with Kane if that's the case.
If kane doesn't leave now, he'll never win anything. Don't blame him at all. Kinda like the...
*has aneurysm*
...van persie situation. But a bit more understandable as it's spurs, obviously.
Yeah pretty much. I get Spurs want to keep their best players, but sometimes when that level of club can’t compete and has players that want to - or even just to move on for a new challenge - it doesn’t make sense to make life so difficult for them to leave.
It’s not like it’s justified because it always gets the best fee. There’s loads of clubs around the world that don’t act like this and get good fees for their players. Look at Dortmund, Atleti or Leicester.
I think the ‘darth levy’ stuff is in the past, I haven’t read someone call him on this forum for the longest time & id say the popular opinion is very anti-Levy now.
I don’t really know the situation as I’ve not been paying a lot of attention to football since the Euro’s, but it City aren’t paying what Kane is worth then I don’t blame Levy for not playing ball.
I’m not really saying Levy should sell him for less than he’s worth, it’s more the overall problem he seems to create for players when it comes to sales and contracts. When so many problems are caused by how he conducts things, and there’s plenty of stuff out there that confirm what a cuuuunt he is to work with, it’s going to keep causing issues for Tottenham.
Oh yeah for sure, I just meant in this instance. More than anything his refusal to sell players at a high who were out-performing their worth (Dier, Rose albeit I couldn’t see that at the time) has really hurt us.
In this instance it could be that he’s refusing to sell, regardless of price. Another thing I’ve read that is a big frustration for players is that he values them in a bracket (for transfer fees) that don’t really align with their wages. I just think overall it’s not a good look at probably costs Spurs being able to do more, and better, deals with clubs over the long term.
That is a good point RE wages/bracket - I don’t know what stance he is taking with Kane but you’d have to say anything over 120m and you have to sell
I think Spurs would be within their rights to ask for more, to be fair. They just cannot sign anyone close to his level with whatever money they’re given. But yeah even £120m is an incredible amount of money, especially in a depressed market.
Cain going too Man Cs just so he can win something is about as plasticky as u can get.

It's got to be a cultural thing. Virtually all Spanish-speaking countries punch below their weight compared to their position on GDP, development and population indices. Cuba is just about the only exception that springs to mind.
Mostly though, we just dope for fun.

Glad he's joining them instead of Newcastle.
