Brentford are going to be another fun addition to the league.

We’ve never been mugged off so terribly. Still though it’s almost as cheap a shot as Dulux

The Dulux one was magnificent.

Yeah Brentford are grate.

Arsenal ffs.

As I said a few weeks back. Another difficult season beckons. If Arteta doesn't get sacked in the next month, I fear for another relegation battle.

At least having fans in the stadium might help accelerate that process.

He'll still be sacked too late even if that does happen.

My other worry is when/if he does go, who do we replace him with? What good manager will want to come to Arsenal? We have absolutely nothing going for us, haemorrhaging money and have the worst ownership in the division.

I think getting in a manager is probably one of the reasons Arteta is still in a job.

Problem is, he’s obviously not the man to manage this club. There’s going to be loads that could do better. But are they going to be at the level that Arsenal need/want? You’d probably say not.

But that’s not really a good enough excuse to keep Arteta. You need to keep rolling the dice until you can find the right one.

You probably should have brought in Benny Dreadful. Wouldn’t be pretty but you’d be far better set up than you are now.

Who is Benny Dreadful? Benitez?

If so, I would have preferred him and although he's not the same manager of 15 years ago, he's clearly a cut above Arteta and would have stabilised things.

Ultimately, the primary blame is on the ownership for allowing an underperforming, out of depth manager to continue for as long as he has.

He should have been sacked months ago.

It's beyond embarrassing at this point.

Yeah Benitez.

Agree about the ownership, it’s grim looking at it from the outside.

Always thought things were bad at United with the Glazers, but even then I think there’s been ambition and a strategy - even it that strategy isn’t good, or executed well enough.

I just have no facking idea what the hell the plan is at Arsenal. And it seems that a lot of fans don’t, and that’s the most worrying thing.

Arsenal will probably get Potter though depressingly and turn it all around

posted on 14/8/21

Rumour is he’s got his sights set on a top four team.

What’s a more impressive managerial feat:

Managing Ben White so that Arsenal paid £50m for him, or managing Dan James so that Man United paid £15?

Really tough one.

Grate game in manchester

No.

Yeah I’m surprised how sharp we’ve been given our preseason.

I forgot to make Bruno my captain in ff and it was facking Toney.

got La Liga TV on my Amazon Prime Video this season...not watching it on Premier Sports

Looking forward to watching it on the big screen

posted on 14/8/21

Superb!

Really surprised by how well we played all things considered.

posted on 14/8/21

Yeah really sharp. That was probably a better all round performance than the 6-2. Ole actually said that in his post match interview.

Peks, is La Liga TV much extra?

£6.99/month added on to the amazon prime sub

not bad really

posted on 14/8/21

Yeah I thought so too.

That is the standard. They've set themselves a very good bench mark in terms of performance today and if the team can match those levels more consistently throughout the whole season then this should be a really good season, whether we win anything or not.

posted on 14/8/21

Yeah that’s not bad.

Interesting that the CVC deal went through for La Liga, but that four clubs didn’t have to take the deal.

Not sure about all of the details, but it sounds like Madrid and Barca will be taking a lot more of the tv deals again than the rest over this 50 year agreement.

Not that many will care, if they need the money now it doesn’t matter that Barca and Madrid will get more money than they already do.

Though perhaps it’s not the best decision for Atleti, but maybe if this money allows them to make some good signings this summer they can cement their place at the top for at least next season.

I ended up going with Salah.

I was a Bamford shot on target from winning £144.

Fack Bielsa taking him off.

TRS, yep that’s what I’m hoping to see. It’s a reasonable expectation from this group of players.

It'll be interesting to see what happens when Rashford returns. It can't be underestimated how important a fully fit and firing Rashford is to us so I would expect him to come back in on the left.

In games we totally dominate against teams who sit back, there's no reason why we can't play with both Pogba and Bruno.

With those two and Sancho on the pitch we'll be so much better equipped to break down such teams.

posted on 14/8/21

I don’t care about balance between defence and attack.

Imagine trying to defend against Pogba, Bruno, Sancho, Rashford and whoever is up front.
